"With spherical and dark techno Crline brings emotions to the dancefloors. She likes to let herself be carried by the mood of the night and prefers to act on it spontaneously and above all diversely. As a member of the feminist collective ProZecco, she has learned not to be constricted by genre boundaries. Since 2021, she has been running the Unusual Suspects label with DJ colleague Ostbam, which will focus on supporting finta* artists and unknown producers. 

Since I learned to DJ together with the ProZecco collective, it was clear to me from the start that mutual support and solidarity between finta* DJs is necessary. In addition to penetrating male-dominated spaces, exchange is important to us. Spaces have to be created where finta* DJs can exchange experiences. Even if the scene sees itself as progressive and liberal, the real situation is different: sexism in front of and behind the DJ booth is part of reality. Therefore, we have to work and fight together!"

Our ninth instalment in the Autonoma Industriale mix series comes from the established collaboration between one of our founding member (Desert Drone / Ex Controllata Enichem / Anxiety Pattern Generator) and a long time friend and collaborator, Nacasat. The duo regularly delivers  outstanding industrial techno around Berlin, always live and improvised. A true Autonoma Industriale landmark.

Ein echtes Brett ist der erste Podcast 2022, den uns @crlinecool kredenzt. Wobei sie dann doch schon ein paar atmosphärische Silversurfer-Momente einstreut. Genau richtig, nicht nur zum Wachwerden. Seit 2016 ist @crlinecool als Teil vom DJ-Kollektiv @ProZecco aktiv, wobei sie sich nicht nur durchs Auflegen, sondern auch via Workshops und Diskussionen für Pult-Zugang und -Skills für FINTA*-Acts stark macht. Dabei ist sie immer wieder auch beim DAVE Festival dabei gewesen. Neu ist zudem das Label @unusualsuspects_label, das Sie zusammen mit @Ostbaaam betreibt. Einiges los also bei crline, kann aber dann doch bald mal wieder losgehen, dass die Clubs wieder aufmachen. Als Überbrückung eignet sich der Podcast hier auf jeden Fall.

The Forgotten CXXXIX: Violet Poison

The Brvtalist is proud to present music off the new double cassette release, Tears for Fears Vol. 2, a massive V/A compilation from Soil Records. The evolution of Soil is based mainly on a clear industrial line, in a style which SOJ has been polishing as an artist and as well as being responsible for the platform itself. The label has evolved in other facets such as integration of renowned artists in its catalog - marked with both cassette and vinyl releases as well as digital. In June 2018, Soil released Tears For Fears Vol. 1 and now a year and a half later comes the massive follow up- a second part with 35 tracks and the current projection of the label. Tears For Fears Vol. 2 is a great showcase for artists and projects with consolidated trajectories, although some of them may seem more discreet with great variety of sub genres and interpretations.
To celebrate the release (which is out today!) we are featuring 3 tracks from the compilation - each a bit different but all represent what the label and comp is all about. The first is the ominous techno slayer, “Justice” from Argentinian producer and DJ, Distant. Next is the haunting nostalgia and devastating synths of Colombia’s Filmmaker and the third is a crushing electro-body work from the always great Raw Ambassador. The compilation also includes music from Adriana Petit, Bad Faith Actor, Unhealed, Nocturnerror, Unnaturalism and much more.

Crline has been with the Dresden infamous based ProZecco crew, which focuses on supporting female* artists from the scene, from the very beginnings. Always prepared and armed with hard, hypnotic techno, Crline will definitely make the club burn. This podcast is only a hint of what you can expect.

Dense drones, harsh noises, and eccentric drums present the admirable skills on display that paint a picture of the artist having full control of his own art.

Die Dresdner Clubkultur ist vielfältig und leuchtet weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus. DAVE – Dresden Audio Visual Experience – versteht sich als Podium, um einmal im Jahr die hiesige elektronische Subkulturszene in all ihrer Vielfältigkeit zu präsentieren.

Dabei denkt DAVE Clubkultur anders. Seit 2014 tritt das Festival an, um den Alltag der elektronischen Musik in Dresden aufzubrechen und deren Grenzen neu zu verschieben. Es sorgt für Bewegung und Begegnungen in der Dresdner Clubkultur. Dazu baut DAVE elektronische Klanglandschaften an vertrauten, aber auch außergewöhnlichen Orten. Menschen werden zusammengebracht, die sich sonst kaum zum kulturellen Austausch treffen. 

Zudem werden einzigartige kulturelle Erfahrungen geboten, die der Stadt offenbar gut zu Gesicht stehen. Immerhin wurde das Festival 2016 mit dem städtischen Förderpreis ausgezeichnet. DAVE findet zwar in Dresden statt, zeigt sich aber ausdrücklich offen gegenüber Künstler*innen und Projekten aus anderen Städten oder Ländern. Plattformen wurden geboren, die Profis und Nachwuchskünstler*innen dazu befähigen, selber spannende Projekte zu gestalten und auch aktiv bei DAVE mitzumachen, egal ob in musikalischem oder visuellem Rahmen. Das vielfältige Programm, das Jahr um Jahr erweitert wird,  ist deshalb nicht nur abwechslungsreich, sondern auch lehrreich. 

Für die Programmgestaltung sorgt ein weit verzweigtes Netzwerk von ehrenamtlich tätigen Akteurinnen und Akteuren der Dresdner Kultur- und Musikbranche, die eine gemeinsame Leidenschaft und jede Menge Idealismus vereint.
