Great work Dave.  Enjoyed this a lot.  Brings to mind some cool jazzy works from Andre Previn back in the day.  Only you admit to playing him and he seemed to think he was too classical to own up to it.  Shame on him.  Good work from you.  Nice touch throwing the vocal and sax in there too.

What a lovely piano that is so warm and vibrant, a saxophone that has the perfect reverb, superb eq on the drums, all played, mixed and mastered to perfection. Great creativity and so well thought out piece of musical entertainment, which is very enjoyable.

The music composition was originally written for a ballet production about the artist Henri Matisse. The trumpet was chosen when writing the lead part, since I consider it to be a very colorful instrument. Bruce Klepper's (https://soundcloud.com/bruce-klepper-1) arrangement skill brings out some rich harmonies in the saxophones and brass sections. He also worked on improving the overall brass timbres. I was inspired in writing this song by posting the word “colorful” over my keyboard for a few weeks.
