This is a recording of a Classical Guitar quartet I was in at Chichester College, around 1993/1994. I would have been 17 or 18.

I was playing the lowest classical guitar part. This was a really enjoyable group.

Amanda Cook, who became a world class classical Guitar player and has had many pieces of music written for her, touring all over the world, appearing on radio and TV. (she is the one playing the lead on the recording (www.amandacook.co.uk)

Releasing in August 2024 THE NATIONAL PARKS ALBUM is a story album where each national park is represented by an original song, to support the work of the National Park Foundation.

Allison Preisinger collaborated with writers from the National Parks to put their lyrics to music honoring the Olympic National Park. 

“One thing about our National Parks, besides their grandeur and beauty, is the peril of visiting them. Every year people venture into the wilderness of the parks, never to return. Olympic’s history is filled with these mysterious disappearances, some say due to the fickleness of the Gods.”

Inside the Olympic National Park you will find so much beauty. The Hoh Rainforest, Staircase, and Lake Crescent are some of Allison’s favorites. Though, Allison’s own history involves tragedy within the Olympics. On a drive home years ago, sometime in the 1950s, relatives lost control of their vehicle and drove into Lake Crescent. They were not able to make it out and their car is likely still in the lake today.

It will be released physically in National Park Stores across the U.S., REI, and Whole Foods as well as digitally on all major streaming platforms.

Allison is joined by Grammy-winner Ry Cooder, Rising Appalachia, Animal Collective and others on the compilation. It was mixed by Grammy-winner Brendan Dekora.

British Guitarist and vocalist Dave Holmes is a versatile musician who has performed all around Europe and Brazil with his eclectic set of authentic sounding Bossa Nova and English / American covers and originals, effortlessly traversing styles with Brazilian nuances and feel. 

He is also a Percussionist with plenty of experience performing within the UK Samba scene at fetes, festivals and corporate events and is the founder of Soul Tonic and the director of international electronic music project Cosmic Core.

He releases his original tracks on all the usual digital platforms.
