Fantastic moment when the blistering guitar and harmony vocals come together

Just love this version! I'd love to hear the full album in "Half Unplugged" mixes. The acoustic guitar is delicious, and I find it easier to focus on and appreciate all the lyrics with a sparser arrangement. Very nice.

I'm very excited to share this clip with you because it features a guest guitar performance from Steve Hackett, legendary guitarist from the band Genesis! I did some production assistance and keyboards on his Genesis Revisited album (which was a complete honor) and to "return the favor" he offered to play on my first ever solo album! (Don't tell him that he owed me no favor as the favor was letting me play on his album in the first place!). I'm such a fan of his playing and of Steve himself. He and Jo and Roger and his whole band have been so cool to be around... I could go on and I will when I get a proper blog. So, this is part of the closing track on my album which is the book-end to the "rock opera" that starts off the album. The title of this section of the song is "Ascension". This of course is just a rough work in progress mix for now to get a taste of what the album is going to be like. If you're into "old Genesis" there are some tips of the hat in that direction especially having Steve on board. But there are also people who have played with Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, It Bites, Big Big Train, Alan Parsons Project, Chicago and other bands all over the album. If you want to hear classic rock and Prog in a modern musical context then I'm making this record for you! That's what I like myself!

Here's another clip from my upcoming album "New World", although this one may end up being a bonus track for my Kickstarter campaign exclusively as opposed to a track on the regular release. Not sure yet. As usual this is a rough work in progress mix. This time I'm show cases the talents of Fernando Perdomo, a multi-instrumentalist who has contributed a ton of guitar and bass on this album. Here Fern, Nick D'Virgilio and I go wild in the middle section of a song called "The Way Out".

Lunatic Soul is the solo project from Mariusz Duda, the creative force, lead singer and talented multi-instrumentalist behind Poland's Progressive Rock shooting stars Riverside.

‘Walking On A Flashlight Beam’ is the fourth album from Lunatic Soul and follow up to  2011’s acclaimed ‘Impressions’ album and comprises of almost 64 minutes of brand new music.

Commenting on his new opus  Duda says  “These are very dark and intense compositions but very melodious too. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written, if not the best one”.

The first single & video due to be taken from the new album will be for the track ‘Cold’.

As with previous Lunatic Soul albums artwork was created by the renowned cover artist Travis Smith who has previous created covers for the likes of Opeth & Riverside.

Here's an alternate version of the song "Into The Sun" from Dave Kerzner's "New World". It's semi-acoustic or "half unplugged" with an emphasis on scaled down acoustic instruments at the forefront embellished with ambient electric instrument sounds with the absence of drums. This version is featured on the exclusive Kickstarter Box Set Bonus Disc and may appear on a forthcoming "Half Unplugged" compilation. 

It features guest vocalist Heather Findlay (formerly of Mostly Autumn) who Dave shares another project with called "Mantra Vega" and Colin Edwin of Porcupine Tree.

Dave Kerzner is a producer/songwriter and keyboardist who has worked with a variety of artists ranging from Kevin Gilbert to Steve Hackett, Steven Wilson, Francis Dunnery and many more. He is best known for his debut solo album New World and for co-creating the award-winning album Dimensionaut with Sound of Contact as well as being the head of the popular music software and sound development company Sonic Reality.
