Spanning the timeless pulse of funk and soul to the golden-era grit of hip-hop and the infectious rhythms of disco, GutterGroove exists at the intersection of crate-digging tradition and modern sound system culture.

More than a label, GutterGroove is a home for DJ sets, original productions, and collaborations that celebrate rhythm in all its forms. Whether it’s unearthing forgotten B-sides, or crafting new sounds rooted in classic textures, GutterGroove curates vibes that move both body and soul.

Since Y2K, Brendan Wypich, aka XII Galaxies, has been elevating dance floors across North America. He spent his formative years as a student of electronic music in the 90’s rave scene, and began his own musical pursuits as a trumpet player, vocalist, and turntablist in a 12-piece soul-funk band. XII's love of lush instrumentals, soulful vocals and playful rhythms shine through in his DJ sets. Deep House to Techno, World Music to Nu Disco. Delta to Gamma. Heart opening and soul expansive. 

Based in Charlottesville, XII is dedicated to the evolution of his community’s electronic music scene, collaborating with FUN Cville, Sun/Sets, and the local Burningman community.

"Italo"/Australian , DJ/Producer & Remixer based in Australia, Dave Mathmos, began hitting the ground running in the music realm in the 80th, and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist with his own signature sound and stylization. Known for his widely authentic blend of genres like Disco, Funk, Soul, Deep House, Italo Disco and Nudisco, Dave’s journey into music began in the producer’s chair where he started tackling an array of productions with House & Deep House tracks, and quickly began solidifying a style that shares equal parts originality and familiarity, giving his audience a taste of something fresh yet still identifiable. 
 
After several years of honing his craft and putting together a solid chemistry in his musical approach, Dave’s name became more familiar throughout his scene and began garnering positive reception throughout his scene. Currently, he has been releasing music with several Australian and European labels, as well as DJing in both continental scenes as well. His most notable work has been his edits and remixes that include nostalgic songwriting arrangements, grooves, and an innovative modern style that has successfully expanded his artistic merit in contributing his important work for both the Australian and European markets.  
 
On top of remixes, he has been crafting together his own material as well, orientated to several modern touches to deep house, balearic and nudisco to the wide spectrum of electronic music.
