I wrote this song after an in-depth conversation with my mother who spent years searching for her mother.  It's in 7/8; perhaps reflecting the irregularity of relationships.

One Colonel Hardy had turned renegade, establishing his own fiefdom among the Simmippians. According to the highly classified intelligence wire, Hardy had committed the highest crimes against groove, outlawing shuffle beats of all kinds and limiting musical expression to tonedeaf folk music. 

And now the swampy assignment: Operation Mango Wood. Hardy must be brought to justice or eliminated immediately. Was there any way out of it? Were there not several other officers capable of carrying it out? Didn’t Krank owe him a favor or two? Did the Commander need to remind the Admiral of how he came to his rescue in Operation Bass Guitar Part Rearrangement? Nothing doing. These orders came directly from Her Majesty Herself. She wanted- nay, demanded- that Commander Fullyard do the job.

This one was a real journey and along with the other collab i did with the mighty @texmex-shaman. The Admiral (@user-766619428) sent me the base and groovy drum pattern long long ago, early 2021, and it took quite some time to find the initial spark to go mad, but then it was a real blast. Kinda started sampling the whole thing and deformed it into something i never thought it would sound like. Recorded some stuff in the flat  (little child drum, etc.) and refined some axe-chops from our woodwork session early in 2021 along with some VOX and other little space pixie dust, b3 vst and synths. Later on he added the amazing guitars and additional fx - me finally trying to squeeze everything into the mix. Thank you so much for doing this with me. I hope this will be not the last one!

I also want to give credit to my parents in law and my love, which were so supportive in finding the right place for the shoot and helping me with my artistic vision to come true. This was quite a wild ride and it couldn't have been done all by myself! (That little forest fishpond was cold af... haha)

Thanks for the community for all that support and wonderful comments and reposts, likes and such. We are a real great "family" and i am glad to have you all!

Black Mythology is the fourth EP by Apashe on Kannibalen Records. Leaving behind the funk influences of his last EP, Funky Family, Apashe has turned his synths and drums into overdrive, creating a pair of booming trap anthems that should propel him further into the upper echelons of the electronic music universe and solidify his status as the new God of Bass.   

The first track of the EP, Black Gold, is the continuation of his September smash hit free release, Battle Royale. Black Gold is a stomping trap banger, filled with epic orchestral samples and anchored by an insistent, guttural vocal sample. The second track, Forsaken, is a monster collaboration between Apashe, Dabin and Kai Wachi. Conceived during a marathon studio session at Apashe’s studio in Montreal, it contains signature sounds from all three producers. With elements of glitch hop, trap and drumstep and featuring the vocals of Ariane Zita, Forsaken has the potential to be a huge chart-topper.

Another composition recorded before the war. I hope one day I will return to my home studio. Any support from you is much appreciated on these extremely hard times for our country, our family. 
I could have recorded much new music for the last 9 months... unless russians came to our yard to "save" us with their tanks, missiles, bombs and war planes at 4 a.m. on Feb 24th. And yes, they saved us from our house, from our normal life, from our dreams and plans. They saved my elderly parents from their home and peaceful life in retiring, saved my daughter from happy childhood, from school, from her friends and vacation by the sea. We'll never forget and never forgive it! I'm sure that russia will get what it deserves - each rocket they launch on Ukraine will turn to another 10 years of disaster for their cowardly people.

Some time ago, I needed to do some thinking about my DTM system and was reviewing my music data.  At that time, I suddenly noticed this song by Mrs Rhymes.  About a year ago, I think.  I had a preliminary recording of my guitar to go along with this wonderful piece.  Remembering that, I played it back and listened.  I didn't like my guitar playing, even though it was just a temporary recording for notes.  I don't think the sounds and phrases I used at that time match the original song.  Compared to that, the original song is still great.  So I grabbed my guitar and started recording.  A few hours later, I was in the process of uploading my freshly finished work here.

The key of this song is C#, and I think that what we should be aware of as a performance style is "B♭m/C# pentatonic".
I do not mix tapping, sweeping, or other fancy playing techniques in my guitar playing with this outstanding piece. I tried to keep the accompaniment very simple. This excellent piece, which I picked up as an example this time, will be finished with two things in mind: "B♭m/C# pentatonic". However, in a blues scale song, one song uses four pentatonic forms. Therefore, first of all, I believe that it is very important to be aware of "two things" on a daily basis and to practice guitar playing repeatedly.

And before we understand it in words, what we value most is the encounter with works and artists that we can continue to enjoy playing along with our favorite music as many times as we want, even ten times if necessary. Right?

DESDE AQUÍ (HISTORIA CONTEMPORÁNEA)  /  FROM HERE (CONTEMPORARY HISTORY)

Ahora que estoy aquí congelado,  /  Now I’m frozen here,
observo el mundo por internet y radio.  /  I watch the world on internet and radio.
Todo sucede ahí abajo tan rápido,  /  Everything happens so fast down there,
que se aprecian claramente los cambios,  /  that changes are clearly appreciated,
desde aquí como un documental de historia contemporánea.  /  from here like a contemporary history documentary.

Con mis constantes vitales al mínimo,  /  With my vital signs down to a minimum,
como viviendo una película,  /  like living in a movie,
soy capaz de comprender el mecanismo  /  I am able to understand the mechanism
de la evolución de nuestra civilización,  /  of the evolution of our civilization,
desde aquí como un documental de historia contemporánea.  /  from here like a contemporary history documentary.

El frío que congela mi cuerpo  /  The cold that freezes my body
… … no me permite llorar,  /  … … doesn’t allow me to cry,
pero mi corazón sigue caliente muy adentro, en algún lugar,  /  but my heart is still warm deep inside, somewhere,
y puedo al menos entristecerme por lo que veo al mirar  /  and I can at least feel sad about what I see when I look

Ahora que lo comprendo todo  /  Now when I understand everything,
entiendo que todos somos iguales,  /  I realize we’re all the same,
que sentimos lo mismo aunque ninguno lo sabe.  /  and we feel the same although no one knows it.
Desde aquí me identifico con cada hombre,  /  From here I feel identified with every man,
desde aquí como un documental de historia contemporánea.  /  from here like a contemporary history documentary.

Desde aquí me alegro de no estar ahí abajo.  /  From here I’m glad not being down there.
Esperaré a ver qué pasa dentro de cien años.  /  I’ll wait and see what happens a hundred years from now.
Mi cuerpo apenas será un poco más viejo,  /  My body will hardly be a little older,
pero sí cumpliré siglo y medio de sabiduría y tristeza,  /  but I will get a century and a half of wisdom and sadness,
