Andreas and Daniel Aka The Glitz no need any presentation. The Berlin duo make his original debut on Lapsus with this  really  interesting track that sounds different from anything you can find on the market at the moment, but at same time it's fresh and cool.
On the remix duties we are happy to welcome Bulgarian rising star Metodi Hristov with his unmistakable rolling groove and deep tech vibe while Lapsus regular Alvaro Smart brings “Turbo” inside his classy tech house oldschool infected  beats.

02 TheGlitz "Turbo" (Metodi Hristov Remix)

Danniel Selfmade returns to Deeperfect and starts things off with "Bylusions" where a crackling rhythm section provides the perfect backdrop for a psychotic melody to start taking control of the situation. The Metodi Hristov and Gallya remix is up next, where things get dubbed-out and rumbling bass goes along nicely with the percussion-heavy workout. "Space Collapsed" boasts a sticky bassline while short riffs and warped synths work together in synergy, and the closing "Tronicos" is a heads-down affair with more off-kilter effects and grinding hats.

With Miami Winter Music conference looming the Yorkshire man servers up a South Beach flavoured label taster menu, made up of six exclusive tracks showcasing some of the great new sounds coming through on the label.

Cuartero, Brian Cid, Mendo & Yvan Genkins, Snilloc, John Belk and Montel supply the Miami heat. Where the tracks differ in groove they unify in atmosphere. They're deep, techy and almost psychedelic in parts!

For the uninitiated, Holger is a fascinating little label based in Leipzig headed up by  Jan & Steffen Bennemann. With close links to Cologne based label Magazine, it was only a matter of time before the remixing talents of Barnt and Jens-Uwe Beyer would get enlisted. They've specially selected 'Moonland' from Dream Weapons' release way back in 2014 for a thorough rethinking, and the results are as creepy and fun as you might expect from the Magazine collective.

A great philosopher (Samuel Johnson, not Ebeneezer Goode) once wrote… “our brightest blazes of gladness are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks”. While it would be a stretch to suggest the Drumcode artist roster are closet philosophy fans, once one begins to unravel the tale that led to Jel Ford remixing the 2012 Alan Fitzpatrick hit ‘For An Endless Night’ and it is impossible to escape the unexpected enterprise and spirit of surprise that are at the heart of this exciting collaboration. 

As fans of Adam Beyer’s label will testify, the two Drumcode names have more in common than just a label stable, they also share common ground with the peak-time melodic sound that has delivered many of the labels most memorable output. Ford being a much more recent addition than Fitzpatrick, whose history with the seminal Swedish imprint stretches back to 2009, however Ford’s history within techno goes back even further having released multiple EP’s through the early noughties on vintage UK techno labels including Dave Angel’s Rotation Records, Billy Nasty’s Tortured Records, Primate Recordings and Ford’s own Jericho imprint. 

It is within this shared passion for uplifting synths and big room melodies that the ‘unexpected spark’ of creativity that led to Ford remixing Fitzpatrick can be found. An long-time admirer of Fitzpatrick’s work, Ford had developed an idea for his alternative version and secretly worked on the remix long before any discussion of the project had taken place. Once given the draft version, Fitzpatrick immediately endorsed the remix, excited to have an updated version to breath new life into what had become a familiar staple of his sets for the past two years. Parts were swapped and the end result being the barnstorming end-of-night monster presented here. A track that will be familiar with many having been the subject of much social-media furor since it first surfaced back in Autumn 2014. 

Alan Fitzpatrick - For An Endless Night (Jel Ford Remix) - Drumcode - DC140

Ladies and gentlemen, guys and girls, crazy cats and acrobats – welcome to the circus!!
Label bosses Alfa Romero open the circus show themselves, lifting the curtains by walking the tightrope between underground house and techno with the highly impressive Fake Lovers. The bottom end bristles away with all the tension and drama of a death-defying circus act. The grumbling bassline is deep and intense, just as the beats are purposeful and weighty. As the track evolves, the atmosphere becomes more stripped back as delicious vocals waft over the top and combine with skittering synths almost as a warning of the impending house workout that is about to spill over into dancefloor frenzy

Guido Bartoli, a graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist who works from his Pisa base, created the fantastic cover.
