Made this remix from an original recording of one of my tapes- hence the TDK90 name. Taped this from Tim Westwood`s Rap Exchange show in 1989. This never made a proper release which is a tragedy as its a classic and just as good if not better than the other Kev E Kev releases.

Probably my first proper mix!! Completed this in 2002 and through ebay got in touch with DJ Dren who made every ageing BBoys dream come true and pressed it to 12" wax!!  Only 10 of these puppies were pressed so chances of tracking one down are a bit scarce to say the least, still play mine on the technics as I still believe Vinyl Is King!!!
This is the A side of the 12, still think the Johnny Hates Jazz section is one of my best moments.

Originally created for the ill fated Streetsounds Jam in 2002, the Saxon Scoundrels set about creating a celebratory mix showcasing all the finest moments from the seminal Electro series from the 1980`s. A labour of love over 3 months the result is probably the Saxon`s finest moment to date on wax.

Released on very limited edition red vinyl on Freddy Fresh`s Bboy Beats and Pieces label in 2003, here in its original full length mix for the first time.

The Saxon Scoundrels are Ictus and The MP3 Genius, Yorkshire`s answer to the Latin Rascals, Machine gun edits, Fried Egg Sarnies, and Bad Ass Beats!

Originally a project for Freddy Fresh`s label and released in the US on his BBoy BBoy Beats and Pieces coloured 7" vinyl, this is the extended 12" mix which was released in the UK on 33 Throwdown records.
Took a lot of samples for this one from my original tapes, the rap at the beginning is from a WHBI Afrika Islam show from 1984 that I picked up in Birmingham and the live section from the T Connection is also ripped from cassette.

My last bboy mixtape in a 10 year run of mixtapes, featuring a lot of my own remixes, bboy show music & original bboy music. My most personal themed bboy project that tells the story of my entire bboy life up to that point. This was also the introduction of "THEM TEAM THEME" which is also the battle theme song for my bboy crew THEM TEAM, originally made for & first played when Cha Cha (THEM TEAM/AOM) battled Flexum (KnuckleHeads Cali) in an exhibition in Seattle, WA at The Vera Project.

Hip Hop Lives was recorded live for Adam 12s Afex night in 2008. Afex is one of LAs most prominent conceptual hip hop nights, covering the era from early eighties to mid nineties.


Cut Chemist - Hip Hop Lives (1985-1996)

Breakdance Flava 1 - war der erste Teil einer Trilogie. Ein Analog Audio Kassetten Mix, kurz Mixtape mit 2 Seiten a 45 Minuten. Aufgenommen im Jahr 1996 und niemals Digitalisiert (zumindest nicht von mir). Das Tape habe ich aus einer kleinen Pappkiste verkauft die ich auf den Jams mit mir trug. Teil 2 und 3 wurden später auch über Oxygen, MZEE und andere Hip Hop Mailorder vertrieben. Hype in Australien, 4 Star General, the Ruff und MK in England, Emilio in Südafrika, the Bomb in San Francisco und die Mix Lords in New York hatten die BDF Trilogie in ihrem Sortiment als das Mixtape Geschäft blühte.   

Dieser kleine Ausschnitt ist gewidmet an Gabriel aka Gaby aka Wicked. Bereits das Intro des Tapes (nicht in diesem Aussschnitt zu hören) war Wicked gewidmet, der mir die Maxi Single von Ice Cube - Get Wicked damals geschenkt hatte !!! Gabriel begleitet mich seit den frühen Tagen und war einer der ersten Gleichgesinnten den ich in Offenbach mit einem Kangol Hut auf der Strasse sah =) Er war Mitglied der Offenbacher B-Boy Crew Jesses Move und zusammen sind wir auf viele Jams gefahren. Während ich die B-Boys Musikalisch versorgt habe, hat Gabriel im Kreis geburnt. Ich erlaube mir zu behaupten das er in den 90er Jahren zur Elite der Weltweiten B-Boy Bewegung zählt.
