Son plak kaydı için 1979 yılında stüdyoya girmiş olan Ayten Alpman, 2007 tarihli yeni albümünde Türk popunun dünü ve bugününden seçilmiş 10 şarkıyı Ayten Alpmanca yorumluyor. 

Ajda Pekkan'dan Nilüfer'e, Nükhet Duru'dan Grup Gündoğarken'e, farklı seslerden kulaklarımıza yer etmiş şarkılar bu kez Ayten Alpman'ın eşsiz yorumuyla hayat buluyor. 

Şanar Yurdatapan'ın bir dönem dillere marş olmuş şarkısı "Arkadaş"ta sanatçıya "Muhteşem Yüzyıl" ve "Binbir Gece" dizilerinden tanıdığımız oyuncu Halit Ergenç eşlik ediyor. Alpman - Ergenç düeti albümün sürprizlerinden biri.

Albümde herkesi çok şaşırtacak bir başka sürpriz de Ayten Alpman'ın bir Serdar Ortaç şarkısı seslendirmiş olması. Serdar Ortaç'ın duygusal bestesi "Yaz Yağmuru", bambaşka bir yorum ve düzenlemeyle dinleyenleri mest edecek. 

Nilüfer'in ilk bestesi olan "Erkekler Ağlamaz" ve yine onun ve Ferdi Özbeğen'in sesinden hatırladığımız "Söyleyemedim", Ajda Pekkan diskografisinin yetmişli yıllarından "Seninleyim" ve yine Fikret Şeneş'in muhteşem sözleriyle "Her Yaşın Ayrı Bir Güzelliği Var",

Grup Gündoğarken'den dinleyip sevdiğimiz, müzik dünyasının "Amca"sı İlhan Şeşen'in bestesi "Sen Benim Şarkılarımsın",

İkibinlerin ilk yarısından Tual grubuna ait bir şarkı "Pencere",

Ülkü Aker'in sözleriyle daha önce Ferdi Özbeğen tarafından seslendirilmiş olan "Herkes Kendi Yolunda"…

Ve doksanlı yıllardan bir Nükhet Duru klasiği.Türk popunun en önemli bestecilerinden Cenk Taşkan ve Seda Akay imzasını taşıyan "Sesini Duyur" albümde yer alan diğer şarkılar.

Ossi Müzik tarafından yayınlanan albümün prodüktörlüğünü, Radyo D'de yıllardır sürdürdüğü programlarıyla Türk müziğinin kayıp tarihini gün ışığına çıkaran Hakan Eren yapıyor. Mix ve mastering Türkiyenin en başarılı aranjörlerinden Sadun Ersönmez tarafından yapılan albümün kapak tasarımı ise Ömer Ozan Erdoğan'a ve fotoğraflar genç yetenek Cengiz Dikbaş'a ait. 

Genel sanat yönetmenliğini Müfit Bayraşa'nın yaptığı albümde Sadun Ersönmez ve Kamil Özler'in muhteşem düzenlemelerine yine Türkiye'nin en ünlü müzisyenleri eşlik etti.

Yaklaşık otuz yıl sonra ilk kez yeniden stüdyoya giren ve daha önce hiç seslendirmediği türde şarkılar söyleyen Ayten Alpman, ikibinli yıllara da damgasını vurmaya hazırlanıyor. "Memleketim", "Tek Başına",''Ben Böyleyim'' ve "Ben Varım" gibi unutulmaz şarkılarla dolu Ayten Alpman kariyerine yepyeni şarkılar ekleniyor. Bu albüm hem dün, hem bugün, hem de yarına ait. There aren’t many artists who’ve soundtracked the birth of dance music and are still leading its development more than two decades later. There are even less who have gifted both the club and pop scenes with unforgettable musical moments that get talked about in hushed tones years after their creation. Dave Seaman is one of a select few. 

It’s a commonality that everyone from clubbers at Creamfields, to the biggest recording artists on the planet share. Having devoted almost every weekend over the last 20 years to moving dancefloors from Ibiza to Iceland, Seaman has played the world’s most recognised festivals and clubs in more than 80 countries throughout his career, while still lending his production nous to the music industry’s A List. Along with crafting beats for Ms Minogue and Pet Shop Boys, everyone from David Bowie to New Order and U2 to Michael Jackson have received a Seaman re-rub.

Wind the clock back to when Seaman was eight years old and it’s difficult to imagine anyone wanting to devote their life to music quite as much as the Leeds-born lad. While others indulged in pipe dreams of becoming an English Premier League star or following Neil Armstrong into space, Seaman – much to his career councillor’s disapproval – knew he was destined for a life full of beats and rhythm. 
By the early ‘80s, the music obsessive was spinning records at his high school disco and earning his pocket money playing friends’ birthday parties. He knew how to talk-the-talk, too. In 1987 the still-amateur DJ and DMC member won a trip to New York to attend the New Music Seminar – the industry’s most important event at that time. The trip ultimately led him to land the editor’s role at Mixmag, a position he’d hold for the next three years as he shaped the magazine into being the undisputed clubber’s bible it is today. 

Seaman played his first bona-fide professional DJ gig at the legendary Shelley’s in Stoke in 1990, stroking vinyl alongside a couple of emerging talents by the name of Sasha and Laurent Garnier. Acid house was blooming and Seaman’s boundless enthusiasm and creative spirit was petrol in it’s tank. 

Teaming up with producer and friend Steve Anderson, the duo recorded as Brothers In Rhythm, birthing the seminal rave anthem ‘Such A Good Feeling’ which became a UK Top 20 hit, while also issuing the landmark ‘Mixmag Live Volume’ 1 with Carl Cox in 1991 – a release that stands as one of the first ever commercially available mix compilations. 

Seaman’s unrelenting desire to propel music at all levels saw him kickstart the Stress Records imprint through DMC, showcasing tunes by some of the finest talent in dance music for more than a decade. Artists including Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato all released smoking club cuts on the label, with many crediting it as acting as a global launching pad for their careers. He followed Stress with a decade at the helm of Audio Therapy where similar levels of success ensued proving his ability to spot & nurture talent time and time again. 

Today, Seaman’s passion to exhibit boundary-breaking talent is as strong as ever. Via the independent record label Selador Recordings which he co owns with long time friend, Steve Parry, his inspired A&R has helped nurture some of the finest groove-merchants in dance music. The label’s roster speaks for itself, with Cristoph, Nicolas Masseyeff, Kiko, Kevin Over, Dubspeeka, Habischman, D Nox & Beckers, Quivver, Kiki, Gorge and Robert Babicz all contributing tracks and remixes recently.

Nach mehr als acht Jahren ist es nun endlich so weit: Daniel Nitsch und Andreas Henneberg alias The Glitz veröffentlichen ihr erstes gemeinsames Album am 20. März 2015 auf ihrem eigenen Label – Voltage Musique Records. Mit insgesamt 14 Titeln zeigen die beiden Musiker, was in den letzten zwei Jahren der gemeinsamen Studioarbeit entstanden ist. Wir sprachen mit ihnen über den Longplayer, wieso man sich für ein Album bereit fühlen muss und dass auch die Hochschule für Musik- und Theater in Rostock eine Rolle beim Produzieren von “No Drama” spielte.

3 QUESTIONS to DAVE SEAMAN:

Q: Did you count the number of countries where you were playing in? 

A: I had to write down every country once for a visa application so I literally went through every country in the world and ticked them off so I know it’s over 80. Never in my wildest dreams did I think DJing would bring such privilege when I started.  


Q: Your label Selador gets stronger each release. What are your future plans with it?

A: We’ve already got our schedule sorted through until Autumn so really it’s about managing that and starting to do some more label parties. We’ve just launched a website and done our first T shirts and vinyl. Iff we’re not careful we’ll end up being like a proper record label soon! ;-)


Q: You released on huge labels such as Suara, Noir Music, Hive Audio. What´s planned for this year?

A: I’ve done remixes for Marc Marzenit for Natura Sonoris and Glenn Morrison for his own Morrison Recordings which are both yet to come out plus a collaboration with Acumen for his album on Time Has Changed. And I’m currently working on a handful of new original productions. I’m not sure which home they’ll end up with yet. Watch this space.

"When Marc invited me to take part in his HOW I MET THE BASS series, where DJs and producers relate some of their early influences in dance music, I decided to bypass the halcyon days of acid house, which is ground I’ve covered many times before, and go even further back. This mix spans the mid 1980s and features some the anthems of my youth. From the electro of my breakdancing days to the proto-house of my early clubbing adventures and my obsession with the New York nightlife of the time, this is How I Met The Bass. Hope you like it."

Hailing from Spain, we are pleased to welcome Ramiro Lopez to take the reigns for our next release. The in-form producer has already released music on the likes of Bedrock, Intec, Suara and Diymanic in a relatively short space of time and garnered major support from Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and Monika Kruse. Coming out on 15th May, his ‘Pretending’ release comprises of 4 tracks that have been a mainstay of Adam Beyer’s sets during the latter part of 2016 and now full force in to 2017. 

The release opens with ‘September’; Atmospheric to its very core, the crunching drums and low end rumbles make this one a sure fire weapon of choice. Next we jump into ‘Loving You’ with a haunting vocal that compliments the stripped back yet refined approach of this track. ‘Come Closer’ featuring Juliet Fox is a dark, rumbling number that screams building percussion that lends itself to become a peak time choice, whether it’s a club or festival. The release closes with ‘Pretending feat. KnowKontrol’; An 8-minute piece of work that is destined for unadulterated dancefloor destruction, whilst maintaining that melodic element that Ramiro Lopez is fast making his signature style.
