A quirky little piece I threw together...

Headtrip

DJ Food steps up in Hour 2 and bookends his mix with distorto-breaks and fuzzed electronics sandwiching James Murphy's 10 minute David Bowie remix in the middle. Food favourites Chop, The Simonsound and The Amorphous Androgynous all feature as well as some anecdotal nuggets from Eno, you'll never hear 'Heroes' the same way again.

It's 3 years since the passing of Broadcast front woman Trish Keenan and we celebrate her music and vocals with this mix from Markey Funk. The mix is part of a live rescore of cult 1966 TV movie "Alice in Wonderland" by Jonathan Miller, based on music by Broadcast. It was performed and recorded by Markey Funk live on January 25th, 2012 at the Trish Keenan tribute event.

Been ridin' the waves of groove in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas since '91. Dave VanHook was introduced to music production at the age of 7. He was born a drummer! All throughout his years in school and into college, he excelled at anything having to do with percussion. When he discovered E.D.M. in 1991, it was all over. The love affair had begun, and to this day he still moves the hearts, minds, and bodies of people everywhere that he dj's or plays. His passion for the dance music industry has kept him around enough to know and work with numerous production companies and Dj's in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, such as: Crown Music Events, The Soundtribe, Dallas United, Friends With Headphones, Fully Funktional Productions, White Light Productions, Morningside Tribe, Texas Proper Productions, and Invisible Empire-as well as most of their dj's and crews. Dave VanHook has been around and intends on remaining around, as long as there is good music and good people;) Music loves us.
