This song is dedicated for the times in our lives when we don’t understand God’s plan. For those times when we are like Peter, seeing the beautiful work of God unfold before our eyes, then all of a sudden the crucifixion comes and everything we hoped for dies. Sometimes we resort to ‘going back to the boat’ which is our normal mundane life and pursuits but even when we go back, Christ meets us there as He did for Peter and tells us, a GREATER purpose and hope awaits us if we persevere in faith. The Lord surprises Peter with the joy of the Resurrection and in the same way, I pray that the Lord restores your hope and surprise you with more than you could have asked or imagined, for our Heavenly Father is almighty and says “Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.” Isaiah 61:7
