The original version of this track has a repeating minimalist drum loop. Fellow musician ElektRoman The Biomind suggested a version without the drums so here we are 'sans batterie'.

Bass: Sandberg Elektra 4-string with flats through NI Guitar Rig.
Guitars: PRS CE24 into Archetype Mateus Asato and a Godin Montreal archtop into NI GuitarRig.
Keys: various VST from NI and Arturia. Strings are Crow Hill Small String Gestures with a Crow Hill Dot Allison Dulcet Voice that sparkling pad that comes in.
Mastering: Ozone 11 Standard.
DAW: Ableton 12.

Contrast - sans batterie

This assignment fitted with the track I was working on at the time, a single-take improv on a recent Naviar Haiku Challenge track. I simply added some reverb to mask a couple of misjudged moments and a “space” version courtesy of Abstract Chamber. I enhanced the fade-in and fade-out which were a bit faint.

The title is from Ray Bradbury’s “The Fog Horn”

“I'll make me a sound and an apparatus and they'll call it a Fog Horn and whoever hears it will know the sadness of eternity and the briefness of life."

love the dark, sad, experimental and hazy side of things, hypnotic loops and damaged sounds. massive horror geek. not without a sense of humour. partner in crime with Shelley and Loren.

if you're questioning why or how i'm able to upload on a frequent basis, simply put - i have A LOT of time on my hands at this point in my existence, a wealth of music/sounds to draw upon, and a decent collection of software to make things (e.g. both the synth and fx arturia vst collections). i'm not just auto-generating ai pieces ad nauseum, at the same time i have nothing against using ai in the creative process, but not as an outright replacement for creation. i really think the witch hunt over it all is a bit ridiculous, fueled by the greed pig corporate media companies mostly. 

one thing i've learned about making at least a little bit of money from streaming my music beyond measley penny scraps, i have to upload frequently and i've been experimenting with reuploading/reposting my tracks for better play counts (for now), if even it only results in cutting costs.
