this song is about how much are hell I raised ever since I was little I just pretty much was a hellraiser always into some shit stealing momma's car taking it out at night getting beer me and my best buddy Robin Neely we was always into some shit my mama said you ain't going down to Robin Neeley's house are you I said no mame but that's the first place I'd go and me and Robin and Steve Childers had a driver's license and we ride around in his van see how much shit we can get into they're always scheming we stole cigarettes from the Handy pantry and Steve was old enuff to buy a beer. shall we give in mind by beer or some boones farm or mad dog and me drink and change smokes cigarettes it's a wonder when you're dead from cancer but those were the good old days looking back on it now I can't believe how much hell we raised Robin was a drummer and we started a band me and Robin and Jeff coble and trip Tillery and I think I got kicked out cuz I cussed too much on the microphone at this party was playing and the girl's father came out and shut us down I was just doing the song like Ted Nugent did it

this song is about a sweet little girl I found in Tennessee mountains I was working on her mama's trailer and her mama introduced me to her it was on like  donkey Kong after that not kidding after that meeting we were stuck like glue each other I brought her home with me and we stayed together for 12 years or something like that she ain't never even went to a movie or nothing she was green as the Grass grows I should have held on her I didn't realize what I had till after I let her go and I still miss that girl

this is a fictional story about a guy that met a girl online on this online dating chat and they hit it off just like that and then when he went to meet her she didn't show up and left him hung out to dry he thought he was going to get some booty from a little blonde hair cutie thought that his love life was on the mend but he just hit a dead end it's a humorous song it's supposed to make you laugh

This song is a tale of broken Love broken promises broken Dreams infidelity and heartbreak she broke his heart so he broke her phone he caught her on the phone talking to somebody else but when he asked her who she was talking to she wouldn't tell him she just hung up the phone so he crashed her phone and broke the mirror but still even though she left when he got thinking about it that was the best of times and the worst of times that he ever had in his life through it all stand or fall those were the best of times ! I'm sure a lot of people out there that hear this song can relate to it. My debut album "Circle of Light" is coming out 11-11-2025 it's an legacy still lives on in me I think it's going to be an awesome album and I hope that it makes my mama proud! because she was always there for me no matter what stupid stuff that I did and I did a lot when I was a young juvenile delinquent went on an interstate crime spree and stole cars all up and down the east coast and she came and got me out of this juvenile detention center down in Savannah Georgia my daddy said leave him sit down there it'll teach him a lesson  but my mama said no I won't and she came and got me out of there I was never so glad to see anybody in my life my mother never gave up on me and it's because of her I am the man I am today.

this is fictional rendition of a man who is married to a crazy woman that starts seeing aliens and talking about conspiracies if she drinks a little whiskey or smokes a little weed but pushed him to shove and she's all the woman that he ever need he can tell when she's having a good day she likes to get dressed up in a sexy little teddy and get romantic and sometimes gets a little frisky especially when she's been on the whiskey but when she gets mad she starts crashing dishes and cussing and you better just stay out of her way when she's had a bad day she's a little country she's a little bit rock and roll but she touches him right down into his very soul she's a little bit crazy but she's my baby I wrote this song A few years ago and I never did anything with it that was in my book and finally we got around to recording it I have a catalog of like 50 songs that I've written through the years and I've retired so I had more time to work on my music I was in construction on my life and that kept me busy for quite a few years and three kids and a wife sort of got in the way of my musical career I had a good band in the early 90s I started this band called fire Creek Band and we had a good time running around playing and singing staying on the run here n yonder we was house band at a place called Glory Days in Rock Hill South Carolina for a while and had a booking agent we played all over the place and down to the beach and had a lot of fun until my kids were born twin boys we're born in 2000 that kind of put the Cabos on my musical career I quit playing  to help my wife raise the kids and then she got breast cancer when my kids were 6 she died and I had to raise them without their mother and I thought that taking my 6-year-old twin boys to their mother's funeral was  the hardest thing I ever did about 15 years later I realized the hardest thing was raising them without their mother I tried to give  them love but there's no love like a mother's love anyway enough of that my debut album circle of light comes out November 11th 2025 y'all be looking for it

this song is a fictional story about a guy that smokes too much meth and he gets twacked out tweaking and geeking and sneaking around at night in the dark seeing shadows on the wall and thinking it's the shadow man when you know in all actuality  there's nothing there at all he smokes so much meth that it puts him on the run and makes him really get spun and when you really get spun it ain't no fun just something I made up on humorous side I hope it makes you laugh I like injecting humor and some of my songs and it shows a diverse side of me that I have I like all kinds of music well I don't do Beethoven and Chopin but I like country rap hip hop rock and roll southern rock and I really like  Christian inspirational type songs My Mama was a minister and she made me go to church when I was a child she'd say you better get your sunday to go to meeting clothes on before you get your ass whipped you going to be a Christian or I'll have to beat it into you that's the way it was back in the day but I love my mama and she was always there for me thru thick  and thin stand or fall thru all that I did and I did a lot so I still love my mama I miss her from time to time they say the fruit don't fall too far from the Vine you'll know that's true if you knew my mama & you sit there and listen to me I say a lot of things my mama used to say get up in the morning give thanks for one more day above this ground that we call home no matter where I go or how far  I roam one  of the things I miss most of all I miss my mama's cole slaw that song  is going to be on my debut album Cody Mclitefoot and Friends "Circle of Light" that comes out on November 11th 2025 that's enough of that enjoy the song

this song is about infidelity about a woman and trying to play a man for a fool and she keeps leaving and he says if you leaving why aren't you already gone don't let that screen door bump you in you tailbone on the way out the door it's a human song about a uppity woman who thought she knew it all but she got busted cheating she thought she could play her man for a fool and he was a little smarter than she thought it's loosely based on ex-girlfriend of mine she was a little smartie pants young in that's all she knew it all when it turned out she didn't know anything at all but she sure was a sexy little thing I'm a sucker for a 19 year old redhead haha

David Barber AKA Cody Mclitefoot I was born in Nashville Tennessee cuz we happened to be staying there with my Aunt Sybil who lived outside of Nashville in Dickson Tennessee because my mother had just left my father from Detroit Michigan and my aunt Sybil sent us plane fare and flew us to Nashville because of my abusive father was not doing right by my mother and my aunt Sybil was the one that actually named me David Andrew Barber because my mother had talked to her in to naming her son Richard Andrew Poole so when I came along my aunt Sybil got to name me then we went from there to my uncle Gene's in San Antonio Texas to stay with my Uncle Gene and he had me singing Hank Williams songs at the age of five and dressed me up like a little cowboy and played the guitar while I sang your cheatin heart and I knew all the words to a lot of Hank Williams songs that was his favorite artist at that time then we moved to Charlotte North Carolina and me and my brother and this girl named Nina Nance had a band I was in the first grade I played drums my brother played guitar and Nina was our singer we had two songs wipe out and Michael rode the boat ashore we won the talent contest I was always musically inclined I was in a band when I was 14 or 15 but I got kicked out for cussing too much on the mic but I was only singing the songs like Ted Nugent did it we was playing some girls birthday party and her daddy came out there and unplugged us. everybody got mad at me well nanny nanny boo boo stick yer head in do do! do you know the proper response if somebody had asked you if you like doo doo you just say no but you do had a very good band in the early 90s called Firereek but three kids and a wife sort of got in the way and I got sidelined for quite a few years but now I'm back I'm Cody Mclitefoot and I'm back to say I'm ready to rock out on some country country rock rock and I love all kind of music and my debut album circle of light comes out 11:11.25 it's in honor of my mother the Reverend Nanny light Roper she was a minister who was always there for me no matter what kind of stupid things I did and I did a lot of stupid things when I was a young juvenile delinquent my mother made me go to church and but it made me the man I am today and I miss my mama being around but her spirit and legacy still lives on in me so I'm here I'm out I'm ready to sing and play and sing songs about  my mama I hope you enjoying my music love you mean it Mama I hope I make you proud!
