A classic example of raw talent at its best introducing emerging artist - Dame DLA

This singer/rapper - songwriter has received such positive feedback from fellow musicians and industry people alike “raw natural singing abilities topped with remarkable song writing skills” (Power Fm).

What was once hobby now is effectively developing into a career for Dame DLA With friends and family not even knowing the full extent of her talents, we have to thank this introvert for coming out the closet in more ways than one to share with us some of her deepest thoughts and emotions.

Listening to Dame DLA it is clear her American musical influences shine through with a sound more from the streets of New York than a small rural town. Combining touching lyrics with a 90's rap flow and soulful vocals. With comparisons such as Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez, Fergie and Lil Kim this girl is set to go far. 

Dame DLA has shown music runs deep in her blood from as young as 2 years old, first showing signs in her parents lounge room this only child was transfixed with movies such as Amadeus, followed by the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

By 10 years she had developed an obsession with the shows creator Richard O'brien and many other musicals such as Annie and Sweet charity, leading her to become an avid 
fan of the theatre. 


Today her musical influences are extremely diverse ranging from artists such as Joss Stone, 2pac, Pink, Neyo, Alicia Keys, Usher, Lauryn Hill, Annie Lennox, Divynls, Eminem 
and many more.

With a love of all styles of music, whether it be rap, country, pop, classic rock or Motown just to name a few, Dame DLA has found her feet and genre of choice: identifying more with Rnb, Soul and Hip Hop beats to help bring her poetry to life.
