Slyde were a UK DJ/producer duo named Robin Twelftree and Jason Laidback both with a well established musical background. The duo started the Slyde project back in 2002 and soon caught the eye of Finger Lickin Records a label which they called home for quite a few years and a place where they released their unique sound of Funky high tempo breaks including the well known track "Slipperty Slide". Gaining a huge following the duo toured bringing their unique sound all over the world. This mix was a promotional item for Finger Lickin Records back in 2010.

Another Stanton Warriors LIVE mix i thought i had posted on the Old Breaks Mixes Soundcloud but i hadn't. I had a look around on the net and couldn't find it any where but i did download it 13 years ago and kept a copy on one of my hard drives all this time. This DJ mix is from the Electric Gardens Festival back in August 2007 and compliments the A Skillz mix which you will find on the Old Breaks Mixes Soundcloud too. Enjoy !

Exploring DJing at 14 Yrs old, Bliss was baptized into a mid-eighties music scene. 
Listening and collecting music like instrumental/groove heavy rock & funk along with early freestyle and dubs, Bliss’ ear recognized this fusion of electronic & soul that touched people.
Studying the Elements of being a B-Boy, he became aware of the electronic sounds that not only caught his ear but that also moved the crowds.
Then came the Miami Bass explosion (BOOM)! Pounding 808 bass along with booty shaking females made being a pioneer in this genre quite exciting. As a national touring DJ for KJ and da’ Fellas (Get Retarded, Let’s Get This Party Started, and more), Bliss refined his craft leaving crowds in awe with his natural talent behind the turntables.
Bliss would practice daily to achieve this level not only for himself, but his lifelong friend Exotic E (RIP!) Countless hours between these 2 artists laid the foundation for many entertaining shows, moving many diverse crowds across the nation. Touring with 2-Live Crew on the Move Something Tour as kids was something these young artists would have never even dreamed about, but it happened!

Bliss was, and always will be, about people having a good & memorable experience by carefully selecting tracks & technically riding mixes, turning songs into soundtracks. Truly a forerunner Graduating to the early S. Fl rave scene, he fought hard to open an underground nightclub called "Sugar" in 1994. Political issues kept it closed, but he still brought in Florida DJs/Artists like Chang & Matty playing Melodic and Intelligent, bass driven dance music, no matter the genre. Many memorable residencies & late-nighters, including an Epic night w/ Sven Vath, and the Pinnacle Outdoor Party of its time with The Hardkiss Brothers are still talked about.

Polar Eyes & Spirit gave us Reclaiming Paradise.  1-26-1996 (Taunton, MA).

Recording source: The original DAT from the event, remastered and uploaded on my Soundcloud with permission from Will Sabo Sabatini. This is a standout set from that evening for me. I was on the dancefloor while will played, loving the OG breaks / hip hop vibe. Sabo delivered with a solid set, both technically and musically.
