For our 10th release, RAW SOUL proudly welcomes Slippy G. (https://soundcloud.com/slippygmusic) to the family.
The Cologne-based producer, DJ, and freestyle rapper was inspired by the German beat scene, J Dilla, and underground niche rap while growing up in hip-hop.
He simultaneously dove deep into the electronic sphere of the four-on-the-floor groove, discovering the shared DNA between beat-driven hip-hop and early house productions — from the raw energy to the production techniques of the legendary Akai MPC.

Over the years, Slippy G. has built his own creative playground, crafting a sound that blends groove, warmth, and raw authenticity with his own vocals.

RAWSOUL010 delivers six versatile tracks designed for the dance floor, smooth warm-ups, and sunrise moments at festivals. Across the release, Slippy G showcases a bright palette of the multicolored soundscapes he got in his reportoire: if you’re looking for dirty thought-out grooves that get you in the pocket or carrying house tracks that pay hommage to the early 90’s with a playful twist, RAW SOUL 010 got you covered.

After the perfect opening set to our summer rodeo, we just had to bring the Something Good boys back for the first transmission of MAS Radio

Super excited to finally get this project off the ground.

Following a break in our mix series after what can only be described as very a strange year for everyone, we were blown away by this amazing mix of house and techno. Never breaking his groove, @northsouthrecords boss and very much a big part of the Gottwood family after years of service and also recently releasing his track "Fun Dome" on our Gottwax label, @sambangura delivers in a big way!

Explaining his thinking behind the recording, Sam explains "Seeing as we couldn’t enjoy the magic of Gottwood this year I wanted to bring some of it to everyone through this mix. Imagining the sun shining next to the lake as day turns to night, I hope this goes some way to recreating that!"
