The Dance

Marking my third collaboration with gifted pianist Debra Buesking, what an honor and treat to have her add her piano magic to a tune I wrote some 25 years ago on a warm summer evening in Colorado.  The Godin guitar seemed the perfect voice to express the warmth and intimacy of a summer evening reverie, and Debra's piano the perfect accompaniment, like two friends enjoying a glass of wine. Mood Exhibit - Coordinates

Recorded last year my first notes on this track when mixed started with the word 'madness'.
Somewhat refined by editing the structure is ABCBDBEBB...
'B' could represent both bridge and breakdown...the heart of the piece and the initial musings on a alto sax/flute riff that sort of drifted off into improvised ramblings.
Other sections feature flute solo, melodica/synth, distorted clarinet and soprano sax in celtic mode and rumbling triple tongued bass-effect alto sax.
Behind it all (somewhere) is a chugging thai violin. 
Still somewhat crazy.

Mi amigo Oscar me envió una base, sobre todo rítmica, más los pequeños archivos de voces y me pidió hacer mi versión de la canción. Utilizando parte de su ritmo y todas las voces, aunque colocadas de forma diferente a la original, añadiendo baterias, sintes y bajos...salío ésto. Espero os guste. No olvidéis compartirlo.

I like many am shocked and appalled at what is unfolding before us. In the midst of this darkness I salute the people who are opening their hearts and offering assistance to the refugees from this disastrous conflict.
