I enjoyed listening to this song/ spoken poem/wonderful musical accompaniment. Deep numinous inquiry, quite possibly making a bit of sense out of this ineffable cosmic eternity....

Love the spoken word! Illustriously written lyrical poetry of linguistical wit! Fab distinction of voicing & articulation of guitar!  Flourishing grace of wafting choral female vocals crying out for divine intervention!  Sparkling performance, David! It sickens me how justice seems to slumber even after one has been forgiving...Test & trials that feel like ambush to the soul & deflation to the wounded spirit cries out when does 'my' equivocal Red Sea miracle come & when does justice understand that withholding for too is not about strengthening but allows people to become vulnerable to starvation of righteous dues. This is where heartbreak can no longer be won over, unless the reality is properly adjudicated!  I guess when all else seems utterly lost is when it is the best possible time for a miracle to be perceived as an act that humankind could not possibly manufacture. What a mix of talent and vision you 3 are , stunning !

Our little band has been busy over the summer months working on songs for a fall release.  This is perhaps one of the more spiritually-centered songs we have written and published.  How responsible are we for the evil that has come upon the world, for the resultant suffering it has brought. Peter's beautiful words begin with an act of redemption for mankind, but end with judgement not by God's choice, but man's will. 
The words did not come easily as Peter confesses that his pen "hovered above the last line for several minutes" not wanting to write it, but with a prophet's conviction, knew it must be written. The question is begged by those who will to believe, does the beauty of God's creation also involve justice and judgement, what Luther called "God's alien work"?  
Peter's verse has never been more poignant or Seagull's production more finely crafted. His track note also offers further insight into our thinking on the song and is well worth reading.
