David E. Mitchell is an American composer from Chicago, Illinois. With his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video, he has a deeper understanding of the relationship between visuals and audio, more specifically film and music. With years of experience in television, film and video production, his knowledge of production sits at a different level than most composers.

His musical background includes jazz, funk, pop, orchestral, electronic, and experimental music with over 14 years of professional classical piano training. Mr. Mitchell holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago. David has made his musical presence known by performing, consulting, producing and scoring film and audio projects.

His credits include TV Political Drama Madam Secretary (CBS) and TV Comedy Black-ish (ABC), short films, animations, logos, singles, and award-winning commercials for PBS.
