Timothy Jones, known professionally as Kaly Chi, is an American rapper, songwriter, dancer, music producer, and graphic artist. Born in the small town of Hinsdale, IL, Kaly Chi's upbringing spanned Bolingbrook, IL, Long Beach, CA, and Chicago, IL, infusing his style with a unique California/Chicago vibe. 

From an early age, Kaly Chi was captivated by music and entertainment, inspired by artists like Michael Jackson. His passion for rap developed during his teenage years, influenced by iconic rappers such as Rakim, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, 2Pac, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Twista.

In 2001, Kaly Chi embarked on his music journey, writing extensively and winning various local talent shows. He was discovered and recruited by the rap group Sons of Assassins (S.O.A), where he served as the emcee, writer, and idea man. The group's song "Head Rush," highlighting Kaly's fast-rapping skills, achieved local success.

Following the disbandment of Sons of Assassins in 2003, Kaly Chi continued to pursue his artistic ambitions. Through a mutual friend, he connected with Andre “Versatile” Hunter, CEO of Dlux Entertainment, leading to a long-term collaboration.

In 2011, Kaly Chi released the mixtape "Da Most Slept On" under Muzikal Menace Records, showcasing his diverse lyrical ability with tracks like "Groovy," "Dis N**ga," and "Kaly Kruger." By 2013, he expanded his artistic repertoire to graphic design, creating portraits, symbols, and animated characters, earning recognition among West Coast and Midwest artists.

Kaly Chi has collaborated with notable artists, including Long Beach rapper RBX and Mo Thug Records artists like Ken Dawg, Poetic Hustlaz, and Souljah Boy Jamma. Currently, he is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists, working with his son and protégé Lou K.A.N.G. on new tracks and local performances. Additionally, he contributes to the non-profit organization F.O.C.U.O.S. in Bolingbrook, engaging with and performing for children.

A phenomenal force in Hip Hop, Kaly Chi is known for his integrity, charismatic style, and craftsmanship, continually refreshing the culture with his innovative artistry.
