Based out of an attic in a very old and very tall brick house in downtown Hamilton Ontario. We do most of our recording and production in house and, if you like what you hear, we'll do yours too.

(A review of) The Spinning Wheels : The Great Outdoors -- The Spinning Wheels encompass a stunningly unique sound that washes drum- and bass-heavy rhythms in buckets of high-energy keyboard riffs and shiny, harmonic vocals. Hailing from Portland, Or., this band evokes the sounds of Built to Spill and The Anniversary, but never ceases to make a sound that could only belong to them. A truly exciting band. Standout track: "Allergy Season" - tightly-wound and jammy, but all within the confines of a verse-chorus pop structure.

    I like to think of making music in the same terms as painting. There's always an idea at the root of it, then a skeletal sketch of that idea, then the building of layers from there. I consider myself a musician in the sense that I hear the music in my head. As for creating I'm not a live player, so in the actual act of constructing the music I see myself more as artist and craftsman than a musician. Mostly I guess I feel this way because none of this work is meant to be played live. In that sense it is more of a one off piece of art, like a painting.

These recordings are experiments and demos are intended to become a proper album in the future.  Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.
