I would describe my style as folk and indie-rock with a southern flare. Songwriting is my creative outlet, like a journal that gets me through the long cold winters in the North. I got my start performing at local coffee shops in Yellowknife. From that experience, I met musicians who helped me carve my way into the industry. I write hard hitting songs of the strive and struggles that many northerners, and particularly young people, have firsthand knowledge of.

Born out of the driest days of winter, the Dead Frets are bringing you a cross-cultural experience in both official languages.  Emotionally driven melodies and introspective lyrics put on a folky, but rocking spirit, all strung together by the sound of a spell bounding cello. You might just get a glimpse of what seasonal affective disorder sounds like.
