Like all of Joe's mixtapes, there is a broad and multi-layered range of music and sound from around the world, from contemporary releases stretching back to the 1940's and something from every decade in-between - including imagined collaborations such as Burial with vocals from Argentinian folk legend Mercedes Sosa, or Linton Kwesi Johnson reciting poetry over Tipper's immaculately-produced beats.

There is also a wealth of sound design and spoken word, taken from interviews with composers, radio programmes (many recorded by Joe), and poetry recitals.

Are You Ready When The Fear Comes

Electronic music was his passion since late 80-s when his favorite artists were Brian Eno, Harold Bud, Can, Joy Division, Einstürzende Neubauten et cetera. Bvoice began experimenting with decks in 1996 when the very young Russian techno-scene was still mostly underground. The first gigs and recognition came while he was dj-ing in some of the first places where you could listen to electronic music in Russia. Then in 2003 Vasily Bvoice was one of the first artists who join the team “Deepmix” Moscow Radio (www.deepmix.ru).
As Bvoice dj skills matured he took the other step in developing his musical talents. So in 2002 he founded project called Midiots (Dumb Unit, Treibstoff Rec). Native Instruments “Traktor 2” took their track for the demo skills of the program. In 2005 together with Egor “Khz” Bvoice started the project Bvoice & Khz (Time Has Changed, Dumb Unit, Airdrop etc). Style of their music has a very broad spectrum from contemporary deep-house to basement dub-techno.
Later the project Bvoice & Anrilov has started (also with Alex Danilov like B.A.D project). The support of their first EP was pretty huge: Loco Dice, Mandy, Marc Antona and many more. Then the collaboration time has come. Pier Bucci, dOP, Masomenos, Hatikvah etc. Also Bvoice & Anrilov are part of Arma & Foxtrax labels.
Nowadays Bvoice is the resident of several moscow clubs: Arma17, Shanti, Propaganda, Rodnya Rooftop as well RTS (www.rts.fm), Kazantip Festival and Bvoice & Anrilov project. Just follow the noise!

I Think About You (feat. Rosapaulina)

Born In France, it is in Ibiza/Spain that Luc Ringeisen started to produce music and did his ﬁrst experiences as a DJ in the outdoor rave scene and founded the records store Vinyl Club in 2003, wich has been an important element in the spread of new styles of underground electronic music in Ibiza in the past decade together with promoters and club owners such as Circoloco, Ibiza Underground or Cocoon. (The underground dance scene in Ibiza was till then limited to outdoor Goa-Trance parties, while the island mega clubs were famous for their comercial house music).
This key position of Luc Ringeisen and his shop in the Ibiza musical renewing made him do his ﬁrst steps as a "club DJ" at Space Ibiza back in 2004 with a friday night residency and being one of the early DJs of the new born Monza Ibiza, his avant- garde vision of dance music made him play in all the Ibiza clubs but Luc very fast identiﬁed himself musicaly and found his home as a DJ at the club Ibiza Underground, and in 2007 he had his ﬁrst gigs at DC10 at the mondays legendary Circoloco party.
The record label Vinyl Club Recordings he created in 2005 helped to discover some of the best underground music producers of the moment such as Petre Inspirescu, Jonas Kopp, Anthony Collins and was an expression tool for the DJs - producers of the club DC-10. Also Luc started then to elaborate his very own musical production style powered by a wish to experiment new ways of approaching dance music.

From chasing waves as a kid in San Diego, to chasing my mind as an adult at Burning Man... it doesn’t matter which one we’re talking about - the Playa will always have a special place in my heart.

Three years ago I released a track called 'Playa Dreams' on my Drum Formulas EP, which was a clear reflection of my soul trying to find my life's purpose. Although I had an idea of what was to come, Desert Hearts was still in its infancy... also trying to find its voice.

It's now 2018 and Desert Hearts is the only future I know. Our purpose of spreading love and positive energy is written in our destiny. I now know I have the power to control energy and have never been more determined to change the world with this message.

I recorded this mix opening the night at our last City Hearts Los Angeles party at The Belasco and all 2.5 hours pretty much span my entire taste in House these days. It starts off chill, but builds and builds and builds.... 

It doesn’t matter which Playa you’re on, this music was made for it.

Viele Jahre wandere ich nun schon als einsamer Abenteurer durch die Wildnis. Immer auf der Suche nach meiner Bestimmung. Mit der Sonne als Taktgeber für meine Reise ins Unbekannte durchstreifte ich Berge und Täler, Flüsse und Seen, Wälder und Steppen. Die Ruhe verleitete mich zum jetzigen Leben und die Weisheit der Natur bewegte mich zum Bleiben. Hier Draußen konnte ich erfahren was Schönheit bedeutet, aber auch wie brutal das Leben sein kann. Meine Umgebung lehrte mich wachsam zu bleiben, was mir die Augen öffnete. Nun nehme ich Dinge wahr, die jenseits der Normalität liegen. Einzelne unscheinbare Geräusche können mir nun mehr Geborgenheit vermitteln als ein stundenlanges Gespräch unter Freunden. Mein Verstand ist mit Flora und Fauna im Einklang. Ein blindes Verständnis entwickelte sich, geleitet über Gesten statt über Wörter. 

So konnte ich viel über mich und meine Umwelt lernen und mit mir ins Reine kommen. Glücksgefühle durchströmen nun regelmäßiger meine Nervenstränge und erweichen hier und da meine versteinerte Miene. Doch das Gefühl der Einsamkeit schleicht sich wieder in mein Herz. Gerade an Tagen wie diesen… Ich erhebe meinen Flachmann und trinke auf ein weiteres Jahr als „lone ranger“.

Genießt zusammen mit David Hasert diesen Geburtstagsdrink und lauscht gemütlich seinen Jubiläumspodcast. Wir wünschen alles Gute und viel Erfolg für das neue Lebensjahr.
