We are honored here at Musicis4Lovers.com to be able to host the new remix from Nu and Acid Pauli of Daniel Bortz's beautiful composition, "The Misery feat. Nils Corssen". 

Daniel Bortz isn't a big fan of reckless experiments. A fact that makes this new release even more remarkable: he's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed.

Needless to say, he didn't just pick anyone to get this job done. His choice fell on some highly esteemed friends and colleagues, resulting in a quite remarkable package.

Acid Pauli and Nu give us their interpretation of “The Misery”, using Nils Corssen´s voice as a hook lead element, never losing the melancholy vibe of the original and still putting it into a rather dancefloor-compatible context.

Aroma Pitch Recordings the third! The DJ Trio and Live-Act finished their third EP on APR and it's ready to get the plays it deserves. With this one the boys have reached a new level of production and maturity. Three tracks full of twists and turns making this a perfect kickstart for a timeless summer.

"Moments In Limbo" delivers a heavy bassdrum and moody chords combined with raw analogue drumsounds and a synthline to wrap your head around. "Up & Down" comes around way trickier and combines tweaked synth sounds with an intelligent drum programming and an acidic bassline. Until a dub chord hits you from behind and takes you all the way back. "Voyager Dub" is clearly an hommage to early dubtechno. Spacious sounds, long delays and an impelling hi-hat that won't let you go makes this the hidden gem on this EP. As soon as the Pad kicks in you are all gone to another sphere.

Last year's '4' album saw Mr. Luke Vibert's first venture as Kerrier District in over a decade. And a successful venture it was at that – with the album becoming into an essential long player, and ranking as one of Bleep's top albums of 2015, Now, to mark Hypercolour's 50th single release, four of electronic music's heavyweights have brought forward three strong reworkings of 4: Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer, Head High (aka Shed) and RA Best Live Act of 2015, KiNK – whose remix comes up trumps in our eyes.

In his take on album favourite, "Techno Disco", KiNK deploys a spacey synth melody and a Reese-style bassline – transforming it into an energetic peaktime track, with elements not falling sonically far from a UR record.

The gargantuan yet free-flowing bassline of Hans, the menacing tension of Heinrich and the dawntime anthem Oskar all prove that Esther possesses that unique West German swagger which so often results in timeless art, presented with equal parts simplicity and beauty.

2014 continues in funky style with the latest release from one of Paris' finest purveyors of high quality underground electronic music. After January's powerful 'Width' EP, by Mandar, we 're proud to unveil the 'Minesis' EP from one of the French capital's most talented and diverse artists, S3A (Sampling As An Art) AKA Max Fader. S3A showcases his deep seated love for soul and house on this excellent five-track release, which as always is vinyl-only. Fader's appreciation of the traditions of electronic music are clear to hear throughout these smooth, organic productions. He's a man who values his 1210s just as much as his classic drum machines and this is clearly evident from the start with 'For Danilo' which blends diva-esque vocals with a rolling disco groove and nineties rave stabs to create an unforgettable vibe. 'Deep Into Amsterdam' takes us into jazzy deep house territory, with a slightly muted soulful vocal layered below smooth, bright keys and a solid set of percussion. On the flip 'Discofonk' continues to celebrate the era of funk and disco in supreme style, aiming straight for your hips and sending them into overdrive. S3A demonstrates his dexterity with the 2-minute hip hop beat on 'Piano Interlude' before we get more of that sleazy, blaxploitation atmosphere on 'Dirty Sampling Insomnia'.

S3A - Discofonk

Despite his direct descent to the "tape throb" lineage, longtime All City affiliate Buz Ludzha (aka The Cyclist) now looks to break new sonic ground with his latest Basslines for Life EP (following on from his 2014 "Basslines for Death"). These four original tracks play on the EP's title with gritty drums, factory line rhythms, synth decay and motorised bass lines – marking his first venture with LA label 100% Silk. "Vibradreams" (which also closed Silk's Upfront last year) exemplifies the new musical realm Buz Ludzha is exploring: cassette textures with pitch-bent acid squelches and synth melodies streaked with gain.

Fresh from Catz ‘N Dogz own recent remixes of Disclosure, Roisin Murphy and Rufus comes their own remix compilation of their Basic Colour Theory album from artists such as Fred Everything, Jamie Jones, Claude Von Stroke, Eats Everything, Jay Shepheard, and Skudge.

The original cuts of the Polish duo's third full-length Basic Colour Theory combined traditional songwriting and the group’s signature bass lines. This was undoubtedly influenced by the group’s busy DJ schedules around the world. The duo invited a number of guest vocalists to contribute to the project, including Green Velvet and Phat Kat.

Across the weighty 16 tracks on the full release are warm grooves and up-tempo cuts. Each remix itself demands attention, as each one blissfully captures the original's fun-based lovingness. Other highlights featured on the compilation album such as Good Touch, Get It Right and The Joy are equally bulkier in vibe, more expansive, yet often less capacious in detail. 

Premiering here on DHA is the remix by UK based DJ/Remixer/Producer Fred Everything. The remix is thought of as an extended method of quotation, citation and commentary with each new sound enforcing the consistency and dependability of Catz ‘N Dogz original production, as melodies and vocals are trimmed away in favor of reimagined newfound rhythms.

The collection will be released digitally as well as on vinyl on 11th March 2016.
