The Earth we live on seems like a calm environment, with sunlight shining in, blue skies, white clouds, and a pleasant breeze, but in fact the Earth revolves around the Sun at an astonishing speed. Strictly speaking, it is an elliptical orbit, so the speed changes with the seasons. The average speed is about 30 km per second. This translates to 107,226 km per hour (about 66,652 miles per hour). It takes just 23 minutes to go around the Earth.
It feels like we are riding on a vehicle called the Earth that moves at an incredible speed.
The Earth's rotation speed is also incredible, and people near the equator live their daily lives exceeding the speed of sound.
Our solar system is not at the center of the galaxy in the image, but on the edge, and moves through the galaxy with the Sun at an average speed of 79,200 km per hour (about 49,213 miles per hour).
The distance to the closest neighboring sun to our Sun (Alpha Centauri) is also far away.
For example, if the size of our solar system were a schoolyard on the west coast of the United States, Alpha Centauri would be comparable in distance to a schoolyard in New York on the east coast. It would take the Voyager probe about 700,000 years to get there.

Our Milky Way galaxy is said to be made up of about 100 billion solar systems.

The Milky Way galaxy in which our solar system is located also seems to be moving through space, but the speed is unknown. I think it's an incredible speed, but...

Recent research has said that the diameter of the Milky Way galaxy is 200,000 light years.

It is said that there are more than 100 billion galaxies similar to our Milky Way galaxy, even within the observable range. Distant galaxies are moving away at a speed faster than light, so we can't even see them. Of course, there must be similar galaxies beyond the horizon of that universe.

It makes sense that there are more suns (stars) in the entire universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches on Earth.

If there are this many solar systems, there must be planets with environments similar to Earth. But those are infinitely far away...

The language she sings is not Japanese. It is a language that does not exist on this planet.

I created it so that anyone in the world who listens to it will hear it as a foreign language.

To be honest, it's a ridiculous, made-up language. lol

I'm not particularly interested in putting lyrics to music. I treat the pronunciation of her language as the tone of a musical instrument that changes in various ways.

Silence

This is my response to this week's @naviar-records haiku challenge. Here's the information about that:

"young grasses -
not yet bent
in any direction"

Kaga no Chiyo-jo (1703–1775) was a haiku poet discovered by Kagami Shiko at a very young age. She became a Buddhist nun at 52 and wrote around 1,900 haiku in her lifetime. A highlight of her poetry career was presenting haiku to a Korean delegation in 1763, one of the first cultural exchanges of this kind.

Recorded sounds provide a rich and extensive palette of colors and textures.  I like to glean what I can from single short samples of sound.  I particularly like squeaks and creaks.  Lately, I've become enamored with the enormous selection of vinyl records available on archive.org.
