Bedroom Late Stories - Warm Them Upper

Mix Number 14 in the Sinchi & Friends series is @jpsoul head honcho of @roam-recordings .  Roam is one of our favourite labels at the moment and the recent Tone of Arc release 'Sundust' had our track of the year so far on (A remix by @Lokier) . We reckon its going to be a big year for both the label and JP, as they have lots more amazing music in the pipeline... a lot of this you can hear on this fantastic mix which was recorded live in LA. The first track is actually the title track of his coming album.

1) Introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m JP Soul from San Francisco - dj, producer, and label boss for Roam Recordings. I’ve been releasing music since 2001 but I feel that I’m really hitting my stride right now both with my own productions and with the work I do with Roam. 

2) How would you describe your sound?
Underground dance music in the realm of disco, techno, and house. Synth heavy, sometimes a little left field, and (hopefully) fun.

3) What are your plans for 2016?
We have monthly releases planned for Roam Recordings and I have my debut album ‘Party On’ coming out in June. I also have a few remixes and an edit coming out on Whiskey Disco, Rotten City, and Meant Records. I’m also hosting a few more Roam parties this year in both LA and San Francisco. Aside from that djing here and there and living in the studio.

Next up in the Sinchi & Friends series is @man2point0 , we first connected with Mark earlier this year when he sent some of his music, we were immediately big fans and delighted to see them picked up by the fantastic Nein Records soon after (Coming very soon).  Enjoy a top mix with perhaps our favourite intro to date...

1) Introduce yourself?

Mark Bailey- Educator, bleep merchant, terrible drinking buddy. An old hat sometimes mistaken for a new kid on the block.

2) How would you describe your sound?

Consumerist techno, EBM, Dark Disco, there are plenty of names you could give it but I try to avoid the term 'chug'. It sounds like a drinking game... Or the breed of my dog. If the sound were an image it would probably be a H.R Giger painting reimagined by Caspar David Friedrich.
 
3) What are your plans for 2016?

Make music, vote in the referendum, raise my boy and bring another into the world with the lovely wife. I have two eps forthcoming on Nein round about August and a few remixes forthcoming as well, if only I could just finish them!

With the deep union between psychedelic mystical patterns and solid rhythm layers expressed with the passion of our roots, Diego Angelico Escobar aka Concret started to play, the crowd was ready to celebrate and enjoy this new chapter of the 2016 Mayan Warrior Soundtrack. 
 
Concret is an Italo-Mexican music art project. After founding Trafico Music in Mexico and publishing on German label Toy Tonics/Gomma and London based label Nein, this upcoming year he will come out with a lot of new original work, will present his new live band project and will be touring around the world.

This week we’re back to the land down under where a movement has been slowly taking shape under the guise of Kris Baha’s Power Station! records. The Power Station crew have been catching the ears of some of the more discerning jocks of late, and one of their stable – Disrute – has kindly served up a suitably powerful mix for us at 44,100Hz. We’re already fans of his sound. His chuggy and layered monster track ‘Kabu’ simply blew us away when we first heard it. Turns out he also knows his way around the booth too. 

Deep, dark, eternal. Disrute will open a chasm in your brain and fill it with the sounds of glaciers and volcanoes shifting imperceptibly through the endless sands of time.

In September 2016, they launched the ‘Sinchi - Altered States’ festival in Amsterdam. Other events are currently being planned throughout Europe for the coming year.

Sinchi also operates a non profit called www.sinchi-tribe.com - an organisation that focuses on the preservation of indigenous culture & knowledge. Coming soon is a groundbreaking vinyl project, which is a collaboration between aboriginal tribes and electronic music producers. Micky, Matt, Nick and myself met through music and playing out in Bournemouth, soon discovering that we were on same tip we formed a little collective and eclectics was born.. It started with an eclectics music page on FB a place for people to share their more diverse musical taste.. We found all sorts was getting posted Balearic, Aor, World, Disco, House, Latin, Mixes, Events, It is and has become a hub for music lovers alike.

The music group was formed in July 2015.. Since then we have done pop-up's, collaborations, Somerley Tea festival, Radio Shows and had a residency. June of last year we set up our blog site, www.eclectics.co its more of a platform and a place to post mixes from DJ's and producers we know and love, old and new.

Whats next? We have been asked to play at Alfresco festival www.alfrescofestival.co.uk this coming May.. Also we are launching our own Label around Summer time and have a great Artist lined up for our début release.. Things have moved very quickly and is done by us as a labor of love…….. eclectics promoting well being through the medium of music.
