Icarus Sound Studios is an internet based studio meant for artists with prerecorded instruments that want editting, mixing and mastering done.

I studied at the McNally-Smith College of Music and the University of Minnesota under Gordy Knudtson, Marv Dahlgren, and Elliot Fine.  Emerging on the Twin Cities music scene with Pendulum Records Two Minute Warning; we released our debut album (vinyl!) when I was 19.  TMW changed their sound and name to The Hatfields, put out another record and toured.  Bitten by the studio bug, I opened Audio Art in 1990. I went on to form The Sea, recording an album with Grammy-nominated producer Rob Genadek.  The Sea received critical acclaim and funkified fans throughout the country. Highlights: SXSW, jamming with Prince's band, opening for Ziggy Marley, B.B. King, Midnite...  While raising my two musician sons back in Bellingham, I produced music for video games.  I'm now focused on Celestial Navigation.

World Music with a Jazz Infusion

Celestial Navigation is the musical exploration of three seasoned musicians, Didem Somel, Glen Anderson, and Robby Albrecht, tired of playing the same old thing. On a quest to strip away the mundane and frivolous; Celestial Navigation seeks to chart new musical waters on the wind and waves of harmony. 

Didem is a brilliant composer who plays violin, viola, piano, cello, and sings; Glen adds the low end with his soulful double bass stylings; Robby lays down the groove on drums and produces the music and videos.  

They each bring a unique perspective to the table and the music takes on a synergistic effect.
