fake soul

This track was created from an school assignment where I would compose something using the dorian mode. While the original composition was about 1 minute long and had more of a future funk type vibe, Peppsen changed up the chord progression and the rhytm giving the track a whole different vibe.

After sending the project back and forth, we met up and recorded the lyrics together then mixed them into the project. This resulted in the EP having to be delayed because the spoken words was really hard to mix so it suited the track.

With the vocals added, I feel like this gives the track another layer, especially since it's potraying a story through both the music and the lyrics.
