Capturing the essence of the Crosstown Rebels and Robot Heart experience at Burning Man, DAVI’s selection of deep melodic odysseys for Rebellion are awash with the other-worldly magic of the Playa. A-side ‘Rebel Heart’ fuses ancient Eastern melodies with moody bass and mystical arrangements.  Second track ‘Anunnaki’ (a name denoting a group of deities in ancient Mesopotamian cultures) continues the theme of spellbinding, earthy tones and on the remix, Mark Jenkyns toughens up ‘Rebel Heart’ with a squelchy acid-flecked bassline, solid kicks and overlays of his own wonky synth structures. Last but not least the masterstroke ‘Two Suns In The Sky’ hypnotises the soul with rolling drum beats and epic chords as waves of spooky energy and polyrhythms punctuate the cosmic sunrise soundscape.

"The Rebel Heart party helped me find myself at Burning Man last year. The music was new and inspirational and I felt it deep inside of me. I was back in my studio within 2 days of returning from the desert, fired up by this new direction and I think I managed to create my own spin on this most magical experience and of course I sent it to Crosstown straight away".

Almost a year on from his well-received Crazy EP on Moon Harbour, Philip Bader is back with his third outing on the label. This time he offers up Edge of Space, which features three new tracks that prove the producer of ten years experience is still somehow improving with every release. The EP also features 'Still Rise', a collaboration with Highgrade regular and venerated tech talent Daniel Dreier. Once again this is crisp, expertly produced dancing music from Philip Bader that tells a slightly different story with each track. Everyone is as compelling as the next, though, and as such you are sure to be happy to get lost in them on the right dancefloors in the coming months.

Spanish rising talent Piek has been making music for some years now, his collaboration with UNER on Diynamic put him on the electronic map, getting one of the most original and special sounds of Spain. After his successful WYWFM ep, he’s back to Sincopat finding the balance between melodic music and dance-floor. In this EP he presents two faces from two different cultures: Lazarusman is a South-African poet, and Bjerk Peterson is a Mexican musician with Latin influences. 
Piek joins Lazarusman on Not Afraid, a journey with fat synths and epic melodies. With the English man DeMarzo on the remix duties, his interpretation proves that he is really in shape right now. One More Night is another winner track, which goes hypnotic thanks to the powerful bass and a magic voice as the hook. Daniel Kyo offers a different and a more personal techno reinterpretation, stunning and as emotive as the original.

Collection D has a stripped back and heady aesthetic running throughout its entirety. Jacking beats, driving basslines and pumping 303 rhythms feature heavily, creating a spine of powerful bottom end sonics. There is plenty of energy, old school vibes and a darker edge on display across the ten tacks too, making this the most underground collection of the series yet.

New comer Simon Kiisk joins the Brobot family with his latest original “Orbit,” out on August 11th.
 
Quickly approaching the two year anniversary of Brobot Records, the label headed by Junior Sanchez, will be celebrating another exceptional year since its debut in 2014. The imprint has hosted some of the biggest names in house music including Harry Romero, Felix Da Housecat, Alexander Technique and Blaqwell.
 
Brobot Records has also proved proved time and time again their pristine knack for spotting new talent early on, adding fresh faced producer Simon Kiisk to their all-star roster. All the way from Stockholm, the up and comer's fittingly titled single evokes a feeling of launching into space. Hypnotizing from start to finish, the dazzling “Orbit" plays out like a 5-minute long voyage, beginning subtly then steadily building up incorporating echoing horns, celestial instrumentals and classic house beats.
