As the title says these are thoughts for a summer day (btw, I'm not religious, but I appreciate people who practice their faith):  
- Take a break from technology here and there;
- Have some hope in humanity;
- Do what you can to make it a better world; 
- Try hard to find people who you vibe with and enjoy their company.

THOUGHTS FOR A SUMMER SUNDAY

Looking at the sunrise, 
flowing through the dusty blinds,
bleary-eyed, not really wanting to wake.  
Taking a deep breath and stretching away the sleep. 
I know it's gonna be a good day.
I Hope!  it's gonna to be a good day.

Skip the 'get ready' lyrics, hit the street, 
knowing it's for sure cold out there.

I hear the sounds, and the smells of my main street,
climate change giving a bit of repreive, 
from the usual deep freeze.
I know I shouldn't say it, but I like the warmth.

The familiar people I see in the hood, 
wishing the trees were green and the sun
bathing us with its warmth, 
as the winter concludes.
We're wishing for an end to the cold,
careful what you wish for!

I think we've forgotten some of the simple,
need  to get back to what matters.
Leave the tech, 
not a substitute for human interaction.
There's nothing that we need to argue about.
There's nothing to go on about.
Just take that day off and relax...
on a Summer Sunday.

Ya... turn on the TV and it's the same-same.
Smartphone, computer... the same-same.
Everyone trying to yell louder than everyone else.

Hearing the bell on the steeple a block away,
being a non-church type, I say hey...
Hard to say anything without sounding like a preacher,
but sometimes we need a little faith, in hard times,
a little faith, in ourselves, a little faith, in hard times,
find the strength, in these hard times, 
we want the same.

It's been a few months since @texmex-shaman and I have released a new 'Texas Tea' production. This one has a bit of a wacky weird vibe to it. My working title was 'rusty' so that evolved into this reference to a certain 90s/00s cartoon character's alter ego.

Some new acoustic guitar stuff is under construction, but meanwhile here’s a very different beast, called 'Relentless'. About the relentless assembly line of life.

Relentless

This is the latest song from the album Wou-Wou & the Wormling, Stricknice, Bitzone, and I have been working on. Like all the rest of the songs in the set, this one began during the start of the pandemic and reflects the changes in political perspective that were happening in society, and continue to this day. And, as with the other songs, I started this song with an unreleased demo from Wou-Wou and created a 1 minute outline which I then often passed on to a guest collaborator. When it came time to fully work on the track, I expanded on the original idea, along with the guest collaborator stems, until a full song was arranged. I then passed the bones and organs of the song to Stricknice and Bitzone to add any additional muscles and flesh they believed in until it was finished. I am so blessed to work with Wou-Wou, Bitzone, Stricknice, and all the guest collaborators on this inspired set, that one day will be complete. 

May everyone find something authentic to themselves to believe in.
