nocturnal light shines over Rybkas new album . The UK rock artist is still moving through a shadowy landscape, but the shades are cast by a warm light. Rybka is the holder of a voice, he possesses a control of timbre and a command of phrasing reminiscent of a classically trained musician. On this album, his voice is brought forth, not just by the utterly solid band he has assembled, but also by the rich tapestry of music that one creates in a place of dwelling and gentrification.

What do you really want/need to know when you read one of these? Songs- Has he got the songs? Yes, he has. He has written for many years. These songs have been well and truly "road tested". There is the longing and sense of loss of "Across the River". You should perhaps note that you will end up singing/humming this song for days. There is the broad filmic expanse of "Mexico". Isn't it good when one song can transport you to a place you might never have been to? There is the ethereal quality of "Breathe". This song was debuted at a gig on October 27th 2012, Many of the audience remarked on how stunning they thought it was. (And that's just 3 of his many songs) Musicianship- He has been playing gigs for many years. Has been fronting the very wonderful Victorian dad since 2007, also does many solo gigs. His style comes from a wide range of influences (musically and geographically). He plays electric and acoustic guitar, harmonica, Piano. He plays with passion and intensity, and believes that if a musician isn't committed then they should give up. Influences- On any given night you can hear grunge, gypsy music, folk, rock, progressive, punk etc. Nothing is ever ruled out in the service of music that is designed to reach people . So, Who does David Rybka sound like ? Easy question, because he sounds like David Rybka. He has been praised by such respected musicians as Pete Jobson (i am kloot) Guy Garvey (Elbow) David signed a CD for him once...Mark Chadwick of (The Levellers) Tom Robinson (BBC6) ,Mike Joyce (Smiths), Phil Beer (show of hands), Ashley Hutchings  (Fairport Convention)And Blair Dunlop  to name a few,
Has he done a lot of gigs ?- Yes , too many to count . He has played all over England , and Headlined at the iconic Band on the Wall Club, Played in many festivals in The Uk and Abroad,  He has also done gigs at those places you have to do when you are on your way up ( but would rather forget)  . In Mexico he played at a high security prison, and for the UK Ambassador to Mexico, toured through the Jungles of Palenque and around the shanty towns of Mexico . He has also gigged extensively in Spain around the villages aof calciete and Valderrobres and beyond..  David Rybka- Songs for your soul and spirit. 

David Rybka is the performer personified. An astute songwriter, he tells a vivid tale and delivers each number as if the pain or joy is as real as the day it was written. You’ll experience heartfelt sadness, unbelievable highs and everything in between, but in an unpredictable order. David is incredible to watch and continually justifies the extremely high regard in which he is held.

in the past David Rybka has Toured Mexico playing in Mexico City to The Jungles and back again and a High Security Prison in Cuernanvaca  to name a few random places, a wood land or a Olive Grove,
