Coming from a very musical family, Matt has always had an interest in music. In his younger years he filled his time learning to play the drums and DJing in various nightclubs across England. Matt attended Northampton College and the University of Central Lancashire to study music production. Whilst continuing his studies he completed a number of work experience placements in radio, recording and composing. 

Matt expanded his contacts in the media industry and produced a number of creative products throughout his University course. He collaborated with many of the students on related courses, allowing him to develop good communication skills and the ability to create a positive working environment. The final year provided Matt with the platform to begin his career, and during a professional development project he landed a commission to write bespoke songs for Lancashire One - Lancashire’s local TV channel.

In May 2012, Matt graduated from UCLan with a First-class BA Hons in Music Production. Since then he has worked with award-winning songwriter David Tobin on a selection of projects for the BBC and Audio Network. Matt also assisted in the start up, management and production of Mastertrax – a backing track production company.

Multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist Sami Sumner has been performing from an early age and began writing and composing from the age of 11. Raised in a musical household, Sami began playing the piano at age 5 and saxophone at 11. Inspired by the greats of pop, rock and soul, Sami Sumner's music infuses the best of those musical styles to create music that is a breath of fresh air as well as instantly classic and familiar. 

Debut album 'Hope It's Not Too Late' is the result of years of writing, performing and recording, meticulously honing his craft and creating this special, intoxicating blend of music. In 2019, Sami has released two more albums so far this year, 'The Only Thing' and 'My Turn' - blending pop, RnB, soul and synth/80s sounds in his unique way. Creating melodies that stick in your head and songs you can't get enough of! 

A chance to catch him live in concert is not something to be missed, as this is the best way to get the full experience from this engaging, enigmatic, young performer. Sami Sumner is the pop and soul artist you never knew you'd been searching for your whole life.
