Moustache Records welcomes Senor Chugger to the label family! His debut EP 'One More Tune & One More Pint' (yes come on let's have it!!) aims to encompass the euphoric feeling of being on a dance floor with nothing but your mates and some good music (and pints). Honestly I'd be happy if that's what's awaiting me in the afterlife. 'Press the Flesh' is the head of our proverbial euphoric snake, making no promises other than you'll have a bloody good time listening to it. 'Midnight Scooter Cruise' is about those last few moments before the lights come on; feeling genuinely happy to have been able to live in the present for more than a few seconds throughout the night and have a laugh - followed by thoughts such as 'Goodness me I'm going to feel horrific tomorrow'. Flipping over to the B side (or the snake's ass, if you will), we have 2 tracks competing for the loudest snare award. 'Head in the Clouds of Smoke' is a nod towards the great times had in the peak of the midday sun at festivals, where otherwise non-smokers inexplicably decide to chuff their way through a 20 pack. Last, but by no means least, 'Newton Abbot Reunion' is about going back home to see old friends - one of the more wholesome hangovers I'm sure you can relate to. Overall this EP wants you to keep on dancing - there will always be one more tune, and one more pint (unless you've had too many in which case don't do that). 'Very very good EP. East Wall was an Italian electronic dark wave band formed by Fabrizio Chiari (ex keyboardist of Kirlian Camera) and Wilma Notari in 1982. After a series of demos  and live performances, the duo recruited Angelo Bergamini of Kirlian Camera to help with arrangement and synthesizers. In September 1984 they booked a recording time at Master Studio 33 in Cremona Italy. Working with produced Ray Masola, they recorded their debut single “Eyes Of Glass”, which was released on No Comment in early 1985. The equipment set up was a PPG Wave 2, Roland ProMars, Roland Juno 60, Simmons drum, and an upright piano. “Eyes Of Glass” is an outstanding example of 1980s Italo disco full of dark, moody atmosphere and depth. Wilma Notari’s coy vocals cast a spell on the listener as she weaves a story about lost love and “bitter tears”. Included here are the original extended 12” mix and instrumental version with mid-song breakdown and dubbed out chorus.

All songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Housed in the original jacket featuring a photo of a boy by Pushe 27.  Each copy includes a 2-sided postcard with photos of the band, lyrics, and liner notes by Flemming Dalum.

Rydim is a mystery. Well, partly… One thing that isn’t a mystery is the high level of acid house authenticity at play here. Dark, heads-down strobe light seduction with the focus squared firmly on the soul of the dance. 

‘FOMO’ lives up to its name thanks to some ominous reese craft. Purring savagely throughout the track, leaving space for the sinewy 303s to dance wildly, it sucks you right in and spits you back out into the lasers at speed. Miss it, miss out. 

Don’t miss either Johannes Albert’s remix or the Bass Tool either; the former maintains the acid but re-shapes the bass into a warmer vibe while the latter strips everything back to that growing, heated bassline. Both will leave everyone in the house happy… 

Finally we have ‘Fairlight’. A homage to the mother of all samplers? That’s another mystery to solve. But we do know it’s another beauty from Ridym; naked beats and bass with crucial pads woven in for optimum breath-takes, every rush any dancer has ever felt since the 80s is saluted and celebrated right here. London-based Claptrap label is back with their 4th release. We had a chance to premiere a track from it’s previous release by Donald Dust. This time the label is showcasing Berlin’s talent. Longhair is surely a staple name amongst those who are familiar with what's going on in Berlin’s infamous Salon zur Wilden Renate or just Renate club. The duo consists of Renate’s residents Marko (Homeboy) and Bene (1/2 of Peak & Swift). Guys already made releases on Renate’s own label (Renate Schallplatten) and also on Amsterdam’s stalwart label Bordello a Parigi.  

The brand new Heatwave EP consists of 3 original dancefloor-aimed compositions and one remix from another Berlin’s standout name Johannes Albert, a man behind excellent Frank Music label. It’s really an understatement to say that we’re really happy to premiere Johannes remix for a title track here on Bolting Bits. Johannes is elevating the original dreamy, lush and tropical vibes to the next level by adding some extra early 90’s tinged melodies on the keys, but also keeping the original piano riff in place. More often than not it’s really tough to beat the original version of the track which already sounds close to perfection and it takes real talent to outshine it. We will leave that judgement to your ear and taste buds, but we strongly believe that

Hailing from the Rhein-Main area Philipp Lauer provides the scene with top-class music under several aliases or with various projects. Under the Tuff City moniker Philipp produces music with Running Back head-honcho Gerd Janson, while for the Black Spuma project Lauer teams up with Fabrizio Mammarella and then there is Philipp doing music as Lauer and releases music on renowned labels such as Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, Futureboogie Recordings, Cin Cin or Running Back. In all modesty those labels have defined the history of electronic dance music  over the past one or two decades. An influence that cannot be denied but can rather be found in Lauer's own music or DJ sets. Speaking of the latter, the charming Frankfurt boy, or the DJ from the speckgürtel, compiled the latest art:cast taking the listener from disco to disco with a dubby start to create an overall heterogeneous composition that soaks you into its vibe from start to finish.
