Moustache Records welcomes Senor Chugger to the label family! His debut EP 'One More Tune & One More Pint' (yes come on let's have it!!) aims to encompass the euphoric feeling of being on a dance floor with nothing but your mates and some good music (and pints). Honestly I'd be happy if that's what's awaiting me in the afterlife. 'Press the Flesh' is the head of our proverbial euphoric snake, making no promises other than you'll have a bloody good time listening to it. 'Midnight Scooter Cruise' is about those last few moments before the lights come on; feeling genuinely happy to have been able to live in the present for more than a few seconds throughout the night and have a laugh - followed by thoughts such as 'Goodness me I'm going to feel horrific tomorrow'. Flipping over to the B side (or the snake's ass, if you will), we have 2 tracks competing for the loudest snare award. 'Head in the Clouds of Smoke' is a nod towards the great times had in the peak of the midday sun at festivals, where otherwise non-smokers inexplicably decide to chuff their way through a 20 pack. Last, but by no means least, 'Newton Abbot Reunion' is about going back home to see old friends - one of the more wholesome hangovers I'm sure you can relate to. Overall this EP wants you to keep on dancing - there will always be one more tune, and one more pint (unless you've had too many in which case don't do that). 'Very very good EP.  Rhythm Section International proudly presents it’s 8th offering from local boys Chaos in the CBD. Born in New Zealand, but based in Peckham for the last few years (literally just around the corner from Henry Wu and Bradley Zero), these brothers have made a real mark on the scene here in London town and with their latest set of productions are set to take this message further afield.

Chaos in the CBD have clearly taken their cue from the mid-west masters of the genre but have not been afraid to let their own influences and environ creep in, and in doing so have created something that is unmistakablely London and infact, timeless.

Made one day before Miami's infamous Rakastella party, premiered there on Will Renuart's “The Kiss” stage and being one of the highlights during a shared slot with DJ Tennis, I was secretly hoping for Running Back to get awarded with it. It basically sums up all the qualities of a DJ Tennis set: you get the highs and lows, the loud and quiet parts, it pogoes and it prances and it's basically impossible to resist his shuffle. “Starck” on the other hand, scales it a bit down, but is equally overwhelming as are the atmospheric respectively cinematic versions of both tracks – less imaginative people might call them ambient. At the controls for Ira Atari's album, collaborational efforts with Egotronic and Plemo, several compilation features and remixes for artists like Conjure One, pandoras.box, Bratze, Supershirt, Kidstreet and others under his belt plus remarkable solo tracks on both volumes of our „Stiff Little Spinners“ series show that this man is driven by force. And so does „Sonne, Park und Sterni“ which is a sweet, melodic trip into the realms of positive TechHouse vibes, serving a seductive leitmotif and thrilling, cut-up vocal wizzardry adding a bit of extra spice to the playful loveliness that is surely influenced by Berlin's vibrant open air rave movement.

Every once in a while we surface to share our music and shed some light in an otherwise bleak reality. And that time is soon upon us, Ladies & Gents. Our third installment, called "Junior", will be out on the 23rd of March 2009.

Six months after the first volume, not for profit label Sinchi, which donates all proceeds to support the preservation of indigenous culture, follows up with the second edition of their Altered States compilation. This is an essential collection of this well-minded label’s broad array of sounds from red hot producers all over the world.

Nein Records’ Carolain Luf has gained a lot of attention for her eclectic sets over the last 10 years and is a resident of the Olympe party series at Griessmuehle, Berlin. Her standout production ​here is underpinned by a warped bassline and subtle acid undulations that slowly add up to an epic trip. Germany's Heidenreich is a debut artist who says the inspiration for this one came from "an after-hours where I found a documentary about the invention of radio. I made it with my Korg MicroKorg, a Minilouge, guitar and some VSTs." The result is an intergalactic broadcast, a cosmic communication with a faraway planet made up of gurgling lines, analogue sounding drums and hits and plenty of muffled spoken word samples.

It was a frosty morning and the pavement was slippery underfoot. She noticed the old man trying to cross the road cautiously and offered him her arm. He obliged and she walked and talked with him all the way home about family, current affairs and the ways of the world. She had made it her mission to do at least one positive deed a day, one good thing for somebody else but herself. It gave her happiness and fulfilment to bring joy into another's life. Maybe one day this would all come back to her in some way...

Russian producer Panorama Channel team up with fellow Russian-born, Lithuanian-based producer Pletnev for a new EP entitled Blavatsky. Both known for their individual exploits, Pletnev on labels like Fleeting Wax, Hard Fist, Bahnsteig 23 and Le Temps Perdu and Panorama Channel on Karakter as well as two previous EPs for Biologic, the label their new collaborative EP is coming out on. The pair bring a hypnotic, psychedelic quality to the three original tracks that feature whirring melodies, driving beats and dramatic synths, while You're Me's Yu Su and Moscow's Simple Symmetry bring their own signature styles on the remix.

The voices in his head were loud and radiant, it were as if they cast some sort of stubborn spell upon his own sense of self and sensibilities. They had once driven him mad but for now he was able to live and let live, not responding to their relentless questions and perpetual doubt. This was his life after all, not theirs. He was the one who would decide which actions he would take and which path he'd weave as the future unfolded before his very eyes. The world was his, a tall tale which would explain the story, how he learned to stop thinking. 

Third Son is set to release a new EP on Polymath, a well balanced EP which showcases a sense of versatility and breadth in sound. The release is forthcoming and is hotly anticipated.

The room overlooked the most beautiful landscape, a perfect location for them to clear their minds and enter the new day. They rolled out their mats in unison, took their place cross legged on the floor and inhaled deeply. Time to relax...

Hebrew electronic duo Megaphonim first started operating in the 90s in Tel Aviv, but after being jailed for 18 months for unclear reasons, their productions took a different form. Adding elements of despair, hope, irony and tongue-in-cheek humour to the equation, their new sound shines on their debut album for Unterman, the label they released a single on back in 2017. Stam Sofer also features three remixes from Kino Todo, Simple Symmetry and our driving synth pick from a duo who have become synonymous with psychedelic electronic productions, Garzen records founders Red Axes.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

Working his way through different parts of the electronic music scene in Berlin, Hamburg and Leipzig, for a long time H.Haller was looking for the right idea to settle for. Several years ago he experienced the enchanting pull of the mystical nights and days at electronic music festivals. What has most shook his consciousness was this new, loving encounter of community, which is resembled by those playful nights, when strangers meet under the shivering roofs of trees and stars. 

Reenacting these experiences of togetherness in the uniting strength of deep rhythms and heavy percussions is what describes H.Haller's sounds most precisely. In his versatile sets, he’s combining genres from slowed down Melodic House, Dark Disco, Deep House, always ready for a change - this is when the nasty beats and breaks of Future/Bass house come surprisingly in.

Australian / Dutch producer Ozzy (Oscar Jones) is releasing his new EP on Intercept, following up releases on HAAi's "Radical New Theory" label and Barnt's label "Schalen".
"Maersk", the name of Ozzy's new EP, features 3 tracks that explore the boundaries of dub, leftfield techno, and breaks. With only the age of 24, his sound is very mature and in our eyes groundbreaking to say the least.
The EP opens with "Aphatoon", a futuristic global bass inspired tune that moves on a slow tempo but doesn't shy away from bringing the heat. The track feels reggaeton inspired, but Ozzy's contrasting melodies bring something fresh to the genre.
"Gaan" is up next, which switches up the tempo and feel of the EP. The breaks and vocal make it sound UK inspired, almost akin to an act like The Prodigy. The combination of an emotional core with a raw, enticing synth is sure to take the emotional kids to the rave.
"Maerts" finishes it off and can be considered a 140+ bpm techno tune. It's an all-round trip meant for the peak of many techno sets. The synthwork moves the track forward in a sort of devilish emotional way, entrancing the listener and bringing them to ecstasy. We couldn't be more proud to have Ozzy on board, make sure to keep an eye open for more work to come.

Despite the fact that Avacha is based in the northwestern administrative district, actually it is based on the entire surface of the Russian Federation and sometimes beyond its borders. From the Far East to the outskirts of the European part of the map, the geography of Avacha residents is as wide as our country is and the music tastes are wide, specific and heterogeneous like the landscape of the Black Earth Region, the peaks of the Urals or the bottom of Lake Baikal.

On September 19, Avacha releases the “999% HITS” compilation. 8 tracks by domestic and not very domestic producers are designed to show the adequate side of contemporary music from Russia and the surrounding territories. The list of artists easily converts to the line-up of the best outsiders and underdogs festival.

Volta Cab opens the VA with an ethnic banger “Vertical Monopoly”, followed by duo Wolfstream and their Middle Eastern rockabilly track “Doctor Doctor”, then comes Alexei Kryuk's alter ego Bogdan who performs a nine-minute jam-passage “Drunken Swagga”, and Radial Gaze closes the dance question with the merciless "Micky, Licky Or Chicky". Conventional side B begins with a track with the self-explanatory title “It Was A Remix” from Panorama Channel, which will work easily both on the radio and on the dance floor, then Soft Metal calls upon all forces to break the disco with the hit “Humanism”, White Magik with its “Darkness” shows how disco sounds, mating with industrial under euphoretics. The wandering gang, Olta Karawane, ends with the song “Romanian Erotic Tradition”, which encourages all kinds of joy.

PREMIERE: Radial Gaze - Micky, Licky or Chicky (Original Mix)

The pitched rooftops of post-industry, now home to starving artists and the socially-ravenous, boom with opposing force. As the remaining dregs of sunlight draw closed, summer babies are left to fend from themselves, whilst those with a fetish for night display their colours, or lack thereof. Where there was once pockets of socially-distanced warehouse dwellers, clambering for a break from their live-in greenhouses, the now desolate road is lined with deflated pools and an orchards worth of empty Scrumpy Jacks. 

Hailing from Utrecht, the Carista-manned United Identities releases its very first compilation, ‘Modern Intimacy Volume 1’. Across its 10 tracks, the album serves to showcase some of best rising talent across the Netherlands, with an eclectic mix spanning the electronic music spectrum. Our pick, ‘Dribble’ by Mary Lake, is an Acid Techno stomper of apocalyptic proportions. With its jacking rhythms and caustic bassline, the track makes us pray that the dancefloors open up just that little bit sooner.
