We welcome to the Moustache Records family the oldskool electro legend Martin Matiske with his Electronic disco-ish 12 inch EP release "Robotic Theatre" This is a future vision of a theatre run by robots and is the era in which machines entertain mankind. Operas are written and played in a mechanical way. The pieces of "Robotic Theatre" deal with different terms of stage work. Track A1 is called "Acting Faces" and Refers to the rehearsing of the role, as well as the interaction of the actors on stage. The well-being of the actor does not often match what is played. He has to play even If it's painful. B2 is the track called "Machinery" Human beings are machines that build machines today. The advantage is perfection and time saving. Robots as actors are reliable and precise. B1 listen to the name "Transistor Dances"its Like The Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms you just need a dance to express happiness and remind your culture. Dances bring people together. A robotic dance should not be missing in a play. The last track of the EP is the tune "Practise" a story about a robot the has to practise to achieve perfection and it is fun." Murder Disco

IM KELLAR’s ‘The Scene’ EP is released via Moustache Records this Friday (8th June). We’ve got the exclusive premiere of its title track below.

IM KELLAR – the production name for Moustache Records boss David Vunk and David Spanish – dropped their debut self-titled EP together late last year, with ‘IM KELLAR’ from it landing the No. 22 spot in our top tracks of 2017.

The Rotterdam-based duo’s ‘The Scene’ EP picks up pretty much exactly where their debut left off, throwing the roughest edges of EBM, electro and wave sounds together in an entirely unapologetic style.

Speaking about the EP, David Vunk told DJ Mag, “Mandy hates her job, there are rules in life.”

‘The Scene’ EP lands this Friday (8th June) via Moustache Records. You can pre-order it now, but move fast, as there are strictly no represses.

'Iguana is the debut release of Dead Husband on Bordello A Parigi. The American group push their unique sound to new levels across this EP. Tracks, like the title piece, pace on skeletal beats with lyrics soaked into melody to create a bliss steeped style touched with melancholy. “Memory” trills with a similarly emotive tone. A lovelorn line marches to a pulsating drum. Machine words speak, melting with tear-stained chords in a contemporary work fitting of the modern romantics. The B-Side adopts a new complexion with “They’ll Be Fine Without You.” Despite the finality of the title, the track courses with an invigorating energy as rhythms race next effervescent notes. Percussive patterns quicken for the close, “Lake.” Sheer crystalline keys scale skyward, dancing and writhing between steady kicks and echoing voice. Synthesizer gems care of this Boston based outfit.'

Set for release March 27th 2020, the Riotvan family reassembles for the third installment in their ‘Familiar Faces’ compilation series. Next to regulars like Llewellyn, Jennifer Touch, Reznik & Mikesh and New Hook, the Leipzig-based record label invited befriended acts Zombies In Miami and Paulor to contribution to the bundle as well. Titled ‘Falling Apart’, label mainstay Llewellyn competently connects the dots between ’80s synth aesthetics, silky arpeggios and peculiar vocal-parts. Tip!

Hailing from the Rhein-Main area Philipp Lauer provides the scene with top-class music under several aliases or with various projects. Under the Tuff City moniker Philipp produces music with Running Back head-honcho Gerd Janson, while for the Black Spuma project Lauer teams up with Fabrizio Mammarella and then there is Philipp doing music as Lauer and releases music on renowned labels such as Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, Futureboogie Recordings, Cin Cin or Running Back. In all modesty those labels have defined the history of electronic dance music  over the past one or two decades. An influence that cannot be denied but can rather be found in Lauer's own music or DJ sets. Speaking of the latter, the charming Frankfurt boy, or the DJ from the speckgürtel, compiled the latest art:cast taking the listener from disco to disco with a dubby start to create an overall heterogeneous composition that soaks you into its vibe from start to finish.
