I am working on a book about dance music in Switzerland and Stauffer and the Original Teddies will play an important role in it. There has been much controversy on if there is a recording of "Bei mir bist du schön" by the Teddies. Stauffer mentionned it in a letter to the German "Reichmsusikkammer" as having been recorded for a private English customer. In a Swiss discography the recording was mentionned, but dated to 1939. So here it is, dated to April 1938. Do you own the acetate of this recording, @David Weiner? Any information on this particular recording would be appreciated. contact is sam at sams-collection.ch
