Chapter 5: What do Cheeseburger and I Love You Have In Common?

There is a bird in the Range of Light (the Black-Capped Chickadee) that sings 3 notes into the morning air.  A television show, Family Guy I think, suggested that the 3 notes correspond to the syllables in the words cheese burger.  One morning on the trail, I walked hungrily through an area and seemed to be surrounded by these “cheeseburger” birds.  Visions of In-N-Out double doubles danced through my head with each melodious call.  I didn't like it so I decided to make a substitution.  The cheeseburger birds now sing to me, ‘I love you.’
