Mais Decize c’est une ile,
Qu’on franchit pas à pas,

Qui s’écoule lentement

Sous les yeux des amants
Qui se fiche des saisons,

Y’a le canal,          
Quand l’printemps refleurit             
Les écluses s’envolent,          
Pour Avril ou Fleury
En une farandole             
Sous les halles,
 
Au rocher,      
Y’a Saint-Just            
Qui nous parle,   
Et qui nous tend les bras
Qui nous montre Paris,     
Et nous dit ça ira       
ça Ira ,
 
C’est l’été,    
Sur un air de Monnot,            
Genevoix fait des claquettes,          
Et au fil de l’eau     
L’piano joue à tue-tête

Outside My Window live - Beats Working

One of my longest improvisations, so far. Probably the most intense one, too. I am absorbing and reflecting the rapidly changing atmosphere in our world. It is getting more and more hostile and dark. We should try to change this. I feel helpless and I begin to worry about our future.

From the book: graham wood - tycho's nova (a tomato project, 2001) comes a paragraph worth to be made into a tune. The first three lines are: "The man stops for a meal at a dark roadside cafe. He walks in, shown to a table by a big man with a blonde wig. He is neat, wearing a white uniform with red epaulets and gold buttons." 
The lyrics got build from these lines (and the remains of the paragraph). Have a listen ...
