I woke up one morning last week with the first line of this song in my head. I'm not sure why, but the image of a 'puddle of moonbeams' seeping in through a crack in the window tickled me, and the rest of the lyrics are basically me squeezing the remaining juice out of that initial idea.

Big thanks to @gm7 for bringing the Steve Cropper/BB King vibes on the lead guitar - it really adds an extra layer of gloss on the final track!

(PS. Couldn't resist the little nod to 'Oh! Darling' in the chorus turnarounds.)

Improvised. 45 second warm up session....improvised piece follows. Started 'rolling tape', so to speak, as had a feeling might be clay on the wheel. Hope you think so.

Why the title?

Dedicated to a great man. Were he playing piano now, I would not want him to waste a microsecond listening to my effort. His time was far too valuable then and is even more valuable now. Dedicated to my hero, now and always, Keith Jarrett, currently recovering from a stroke, I look forward to his return, to perfect health and miraculous improvisation. Keith is THE improvisational genius on piano. If there be merit in this improvised effort, that is entirely a function of listening to Keith's music, thousands of times. Saw Keith Jarrett perform live on 13 July 2014 in Juans Les Pins. The experience transformed me. Jamie Cullum performed at the same concert! What a treat. Two giants of Jazz piano. Keith also composed magnificent classical musical as well. Whereas this track comprises a musical note of thanks for the brilliancies of Keith Jarrett, I feel duty bound to iterate that Jamie Cullum is an objectively brilliant entertainer. if you ever get the chance....go and see him live. You will not regret it, and you will never forget it.
