                  Puerto Rican “David Antonio”, who has the birth name David De Jesus Chacon, was born and raised in Chicago, IL, where he grew alongside a loving family of talented musicians and performing artists. David never studied music, but he has loved music since he can remember, and has been in his blood since he was in his mother’s womb. His cousin’s Iris and Lourdes Chacon also inspired David and contributed to his efforts as they are singers and dancers.
                  
                  He began his musical roots at an early age. David, who also plays the piano, began performing for talent shows, open mic, Karaoke’s and local festivals.  Raised in Chicago, where there are different melting pots, David was exposed to various musical genres such as Disco, R&B, Rock, Rap, and naturally Salsa and Merengue. His musical influences to the Salsa genre, to mention a few, are La Fania All Stars with singers such as Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Lalo Rodriguez, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and also groups like Sonora Poncena, El Gran Combo, and Willie Rosario among others.  
                  
                  He occasionally continued playing in school shows and private festivities until he reached the age of 16, when he began performing and working professionally with  local city bands, E&E Orquestra, Everardo Y Su Flota Musical, Orquesta Leal, and A and C La Banda, this one from Central Florida. 
                  
                  His name becomes prominent within the world of Latin Music. David humbly gives thanks to God for blessing him, not only with the natural talent to sing, but also to write his songs.
                  
                  Recently, David Antonio released his new single “Recuerdos”, composed and interpreted by this singer/songwriter.  Presently, he is working on his new production, which promises to be a delight to the salsa coleccionistas, dancers and salsa fans alike here and abroad.
                  
                  Today, this talented artist passionate about his music, art, life, and community, wants to share his passion with the rest of the world. Salsa fans get ready and enjoy…. 

  


 As a teenager raised on the northsideof Chicago in the early 80's I would listened to dance music like, Disco, Funk and House music on 102.7 FM WBMX .

Mixes had taken over the radio airwaves, so that caught my interest. 
I grew up listening to Djs and music producers like: Kenny Jammin Jason, Farley Jack Master Funk, Bad Boy Bill, Chip E. Frankie Knuckles, Jamie Principle, Yaz, George Kranz, JM Silk, Mark Emperial, Marshall Jefferson, Ralphi Rosario, Kraft Work.

In 1983 I recall an old Dj friend and I would listen to WBMX and try to mimic the Djs with our own set of Pioneer direct drive turntables and a mixer we managed to get a hold of and a few records we had bought.  

During the early 90's I Dj'd in some house parties and In the late 90's I ventured out in to playing music "Djing" for clubs and lounges arround the Chicago area. 

I promoted some small venues, threw some house parties, started a professional mobile Dj service (Frekuency Mobile DJs). I'm still in the mobile Dj business to this date.

As music and genres evolved, I quickly adapted. 

In "2001" Having no professional audio school training I started experimenting with remixing and producing original club dance tracks still,

producing was a learning process for me.

I've been a guest Dj at a few clubs and lounges in Chicago.
