I’ve decided to remaster some albums and tracks that have already been released.  Just felt I could give them a different kinda sound...

I import the audio files into the daw and then usually load one or more processors of some kind (vinyl, compressor, desk emulations etc) on the stereo master buss. This is configured to colour, shape the sound. My versions are sometimes lower in vol level than the originals. Some releases are hot to signal, but I'm looking for an inherent sound.

Sometimes I apply some chamber and or hall reverb.

I made edits to Across The Universe, took out the lyrics,

There's some pagan references with the names here, to different pagan religions, not saying John was pagan, he wasn't, just lacked a little perception on this one. But not on many other things eh?
These names are also heard over the outro of the original (without the Om), I faded the track out before this.
(Interestingly David Bowie also took out these lyrics on his version of Across The Universe, on the Young Americans album, 1975).

-Hey Don Felder did you know that my father named a character after you in The Plumber* (1979). Not too many people have the name Don Felder, I haven't heard of anyone else. Peter saw your name on one of The Eagles albums as I recall it, thought why not use that name for one of the anthropologists in the film, the American guy. 
But I think you and the other Eagles can take it as a homage from him.

David Bowie | Life On Mars? | Guitar & Bass Cover

Help! es el quinto álbum de estudio de la banda británica de rock, The Beatles, al mismo tiempo que banda sonora de su película de mismo título. 

Producido por George Martin para el sello discográfico subsidiario de EMI, Parlophone, el disco presentaba catorce canciones en su forma británica original, de las cuales siete aparecieron en la película Help!. Estas siete canciones ocuparon el primer lado del álbum de vinilo. El segundo lado contuvo otras siete canciones que incluía el tema más versionado jamás escrito, «Yesterday».

La edición americana se había convertido en una verdadera banda sonora de película, al mezclar las primeras siete canciones con material orquestal de la película. De las otras siete canciones, dos se publicarían en la versión estadounidense del siguiente álbum de los Beatles, Rubber Soul; dos se editarían en un mismo disco sencillo americano, apareciendo después en el álbum Yesterday and Today; y tres aparecerían en Beatles VI.

En 2003, la revista Rolling Stone clasificó Help! en el puesto 332 de su lista de los 500 mejores álbumes de todos los tiempos.
