Bade & Papu is a collaboration between Daniel Bade and Raphael Papu Jo Fedtke. Besides a longstanding friendship and a lot of experience as DJs and promoters, the two have one thing in common: Their love for downtempo!
Although the two are inseparable, they could not be more different. When it comes to music, Daniel pays great attention to detail and leaves hardly anything to chance. He has a preference for driving and very electronic sounds. Raphael, on the other hand, is bursting with creativity and loves to drift in the moment. His sound is soulful and strongly influenced by oriental music.
But it's those differences that lead to something very special: A heavy danceable and emotional sound full of love.

Meine Aufnahme von der Mystic Creatures am 23.07. in Mensch Meiers Räubahöhle!  

Von 3:30-5:30 Uhr, im Anschluss an das großartie Live-Set von Midas104, hab ich zu dem ein oder anderen Weizenbier, irgendwo zwischen 120 und 126 BPM die Beat-Klatsche geschwungen und dem Dancefloor in der Räubahöhle ordentlich eingeheizt :)
Leute, was war denn da los?! Das hat so viel Spaß gemacht mit euch!! Danke für diese geile Stimmung auf dem Floor, das hat mich echt umgehauen!!!

Tja, long time no hear... Ich glaub die gelockdownte Corona-Zeit hat ungefragt schon mehr als genug entschleunigt, also ist mein Sound für die gesunde Balance wieder wesentlich flotter geworden. Ich hoffe nach dem Hörerlebnis, haltet ihr das auch für eine richtig gute Idee :)

Der nächste Upload kommt dann hoffentlich nicht erst wieder in zwei Jahren, ich geb mir Mühe, versprochen! Und bis dahin: Weiter machen <3

The Hamburg-based DJ has been active in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s. From 2004 to 2015 Lukas Tomko belonged to the DJ duo Interelektrika and published his productions on labels such as Rennbahn Rec or Fenou. With this project he was booked every weekend throughout Germany. After the separation from Interelektrika, the LUKO project was born. Between 2015 and 2017 LUKO organised the "Because We Are Friends" Festival with international stars of electronic dance music. In 2018, LUKO played the first DJ set on the main stage at the legendary Fusion Festival together with @matthias-meyer - followed by bookings in clubs like @kater_blau or @sisyphos-berlin in Berlin. During Corona times LUKO pulled back and founded a new collective together with friends called Planet Disko, and is now working again on new releases.

My very first time playing in Berlin @ lovely Birgit Club Open Air and sadly it was raining, but nevertheless some people were on the dancefloor enjoying the music and having fun. This set starts with some slower downtempo, but bit by bit will go faster with many afro tunes and is ending with nice Melodic Techno. A nice retrospective of my taste of electronic music. Besides i played Vinyl as well, especially some old classics! Enjoy.

Dein Genre/Sound
-Mich gibt’s in langsam: Downtempo, Slowrave oder auch in schnell: Melodic, Deep, Progressive House. Mein Sound ist meistens melodisch und gefühlvoll, manchmal mag ich‘s aber auch mit mehr Dampf. Je nach Uhrzeit, Veranstaltung und auch etwas nach Laune.

Wo kommst du her?
-Ich komme vom Bodensee, wohne nun aber schon seit 10 Jahren in Berlin.

Wie lange legst du schon auf?
-Ich habe Anfang 2021 mit dem Auflegen angefangen. Nun also fast 2 Jahre.

Wie war dein Weg bisher?
-Ich bin von der Sorte „Corona-DJ“. Es war Winter, es war Lockdown, ich hatte viel Zeit und brauchte eine neue Beschäftigung, um durch den Lockdownwinter zu kommen. Musik war schon immer ein wichtiger Teil in meinem Leben und ich habe schon viele Jahre und  Nächte in Clubs und auf Festivals verbracht. Also habe ich mir als neues Projekt das Auflegen lernen vorgenommen, habe mir einen DJ-Controller gekauft und seitdem viele, viele Stunden damit verbracht. Mittlerweile durfte ich nun schon einige Clubs in Berlin bespielen und habe den Weg zu Mystic Tales gefunden.

Was ist dir an einem Safer Space wichtig?
-Mir ist wichtig, dass es Awarenessteams gibt, die an Veranstaltungsorten als Ansprechpersonen verfügbar sind, wenn sich ein Gast unwohl fühlt. Auch finde ich wichtig, dass sexistisches, rassistisches, homophobes Verhalten oder Äußerungen direkt dazu führen, dass diejenige Person des Ortes verwiesen wird. Auch auf Seiten von Verantwortlichen, VerantalterInnen und Personal sollte solchem Verhalten gegenüber keine Toleranz gezeigt werden.
