Freunde der Freuden 

Das menschliche Dasein bietet eine schier unendliche Vielzahl von Angeboten zum rauschhaften Vergnügen. Die Möglichkeiten sich mit einer extra Portion Glückshormonen zu versorgen sind sehr breitgefächert und weniger individuell, als man im ersten Moment annehmen könnte. In unseren Breitengraden erfreut sich fast jeder an einem Stück Schokolade, auch Koffein in Form von Kaffee oder Tee gehört ebenfalls für viele zum Alltag. Für andere ist es das Nikotin am morgen oder das Bier nach dem Feierabend, welches die Laune anhebt und den Geist mehr oder minder stimuliert. Neben diesen eher unauffälligen Helferlein gibt es ein ganzes Sammelsurium an Substanzen, welche beim Menschen bewusstseinsverändernde Rauschzustände auslösen können. Je nach Art und Beschaffenheit wirken sich solche Mittel ganz unterschiedlich auf die Physis und Psyche aus. Resultat ist in jedem Fall ein veränderter Bewusstseinszustand. Rausch ist seit Anbeginn der dokumentierten Geschichte ein elementarer Bestandteil des Lebens. Jede Kultur hat für sich Möglichkeiten entdeckt oder kultiviert, dass Alltagsbewusstsein zu verlassen und in andere Sphären des Daseins einzutauchen. Die Akzeptanz dieser Tatsache ist ein erster und wichtiger Schritt zur Heilung und Aussöhnung mit der menschlichen Natur. 

Der Podcast von Friends of Hannes ist definitiv Festivalverdächtig. Schwoffige Vibes werden mit groovigen Rhythmen und verspielten Melodien kombiniert. Das gesamte Set klingt wie ein Guss und geht den musikalischen Gaumen herunter wie geschmolzene Butter. The Hamburg-based DJ has been active in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s. From 2004 to 2015 Lukas Tomko belonged to the DJ duo Interelektrika and published his productions on labels such as Rennbahn Rec or Fenou. With this project he was booked every weekend throughout Germany. After the separation from Interelektrika, the LUKO project was born. Between 2015 and 2017 LUKO organised the "Because We Are Friends" Festival with international stars of electronic dance music. In 2018, LUKO played the first DJ set on the main stage at the legendary Fusion Festival together with @matthias-meyer - followed by bookings in clubs like @kater_blau or @sisyphos-berlin in Berlin. During Corona times LUKO pulled back and founded a new collective together with friends called Planet Disko, and is now working again on new releases.

Unsere Nr. 244 kommt heute von the doubljuh, welchen wir seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit aufmerksam verfolgen. Neben seinem aktiven Auflegen, ist er auch Mitgründer des international bekannten Blogs https://soundcloud.com/deep_storys. 
Seine Sets bestechen durch eine enorme, hohe Qualität, welche sich durch die stringente Trackauswahl und dem geschichtartigen Aufbau auszeichnen. Stilistisch bringt er eigentlich in jedes seiner Sets eine Portion Sonnenschein hinein. So auch in unserer neusten Ausgabe von Afterhour Sounds. 
Dennoch überraschte uns die Aufnahme komplett, denn das Set ist gespickt mit alten Klassikern aus so ziemlich jedem Genre, was Musik zu bieten hat. Musik die nicht nur ein Schmunzeln aufs Gesicht zaubert, sondern auch zum Mitsummen und je nach Textkenntnis, auch zum Mitsingen einlädt. Hier und da schleicht sich aber auch ein elektronischer Track hinein. So ganz konnte er es dann doch nicht lassen. 

Im Gesamten ist der Mix absolut einzigartig und zeitlos geworden. Er funktioniert definitiv jederzeit und über alle Generationen hinweg. 

Wie es zu diesem außergewöhnlichen Mix gekommen ist und was für ihn eine gute Afterhour ausmacht, verrät er uns unter anderem in unserem Kurzinterview.

- Wie bist du zur elektronischen Musik gekommen?

Ich bin dank meines großen Bruders früh mit House Music in Kontakt gekommen. Bei uns auf dem Land in Sachsen Anhalt gab es damals eine sehr aktive Szene und viele Jugendliche aus unserem Dorf haben sehr früh angefangen aufzulegen. So habe ich auch mit 14 meine ersten Plattenspieler bekommen und vor allem Disco House, Vocal House und French House aufgelegt. Meine großen Vorbilder waren damals Armand Van Helden, Bad Boy Bill, Fat Boy Slim und natürlich einige regionale Djs wie z.B. Manuel Beat.

 
- Was macht für dich eine gute Afterhour aus?

Zu einer guten Afterhour gehören für mich die richtigen Leute. Eine bunte offene Truppe mit der man Schabernack treiben kann!

-	Welche Überlegungen hattest du beim Erstellen des Podcasts?

 Ich habe mich sehr gefreut mit diesem Set zu meinen Wurzeln zurückkehren zu können. Viele von den Tracks lagen schon länger auf meiner Festplatte und ich wollte sie unbedingt mal in einem Set spielen, bisher hatte es aber nie gepasst. Zudem bin ich auch sehr froh, dass ich einen bisher unveröffentlichten Song von meinen guten Freund Shahin einbauen zu können (Shahin – Sunny Beam ab 26Min.).

Ooh Lusatia, you were the climax of my summer and managed to be even better than last year and exceed my expectations. I fucking love this magical festival! <3 

Couldn't have imagined a better closure for the festival season, nor a better playtime. Playing the sunset on saturday evening from 19:30 - 21:00 at the mystic stage was the perfect opportunity to express myself through music and all the processes accumulated in me lately. It felt like an ecstatic exhale after breathing in so many transformative experiences this year. It all had to come out and be released at one point, and I am so happy about how well received my sound was - knowing how much love and time I've invested in this set, I was confident it would be special, but I didn't expect that a few people would come to me and say I was their musical highlight of the festival! Especially amongst so many amazing artists... Wow, I'm truly grateful and humbled. 

Big gratitude goes for the Wanderzirkus and Mystic Tales crew for the amazing stage design 💛 and understanding the music I am playing. And of course to Wilde Möhre Festival ,  Pachamama  and Love Foundation Global for co-creating this experience!

Lusatia Festival 2022 | Saturday Sunset | Mystic Stage

I've always been a huge fan of longer set times as it enables me to fully tell my stories without any boundaries, which is why the concept of Flow Sessions deeply resonated with me early on. I deep dived in my library for days and after everything was set, I've just let it flow in my studio for 3 hours 33 minutes and 33 seconds, fluently grooving to higher BPMs, playing some of the most beautiful tracks I've collected over the years. Some hidden gems, some long forgotten beauties, a few new unreleased tracks of mine... I hope you flow as much as I did while recording this and it makes the upcoming autumn and winter months a little more bearable to you if you're based in the northern hemispheres. If you're to be found in the southern hemispheres I hope it makes you smile to the sun and appreciate life and music to the fullest. Isn't music such a beautiful thing?!

In the depth of the music, you close your eyes. You close your eyes to open your heart. You open your heart to give in to the strength of floating spaces of music. Welcome to the sound of @justemmaoffical. The duo manages to make you drift from reality to a fictional journey into a different world. For more than four years Alex and Saskia have been part of the electronic music scene, spreading their driving, deep, hence melodic, and playful sound focusing on one message their music reveals to every single person: love! While Saskia‘s musical skills developed during early childhood piano lessons, Alex made first contact with electronic music with his “Minimal Lounge“ solo project. Releasing on labels such as Katermukke, Hanse Hertz, Plötzlich Music and Connaisseur Recordings it is their own imprint Underyourskin Records that has been causing a buzz lately and on which Just Emma releases their dark and melodic interpretation of electronic music. Therefore the duo prefers to play the early morning hours to attract the crowd with an ocean of diverse sounds.

Ich öffne meine Augen und nehme mit vernebelten Verstand den blauen Himmel wahr. Mit meiner Handfläche ertaste ich das satte Grün unter mir. Als ich den Kopf drehe erblicke ich, mit immer noch leicht verschwommenen Blick, zappelnde Gestalten. Sie bewegen sich rhythmisch hin und her. Wohlige Wärme durchströmt meinen Körper als eine strahlend weiße Wolke den Platz für die Sonne frei macht. Langsam setze ich mich auf und meine Synapsen werden weiter mit Eindrücken geflutet. Aus verschwommenen schwarzgrau wird pfauenfeder-bunt. Lachen und wilder Tanz bestimmt die Szenerie, die umrahmt wird von elektronischen Kompositionen. Alle scheinen so frei und unbeschwert zu sein. Es herrscht eine Schwerelosigkeit des Seins wie bei Kindergeburtstagen aus früheren Zeiten. Die Umgebung ist detailverliebt geschmückt und die Teilnehmer dieses fantasievollen Kongresses scheinen dem Alltag nie begegnet zu sein. Voller Freude erhebe ich mich und begebe mich ins Getümmel. Ich schwebe durch diesen lauen Sommertag und lasse mich treiben durch ungeahnte Sphären. Die Momente scheinen unendlich zu sein und pure Inspiration wird in meinen Verstand injiziert. Ich tanze, lache, quatsche, spiele, entdecke und scheine den Garten Eden gefunden zu haben. Ein Rave im Grünen wie eine Offenbarung. Wann kommt nur endlich wieder der Frühling und die Zeit der gemeinsamen Verzückung.

Arkadiusz lässt euch heute seine Version einer bunten Tüte elektronischer Beats probieren. Dabei hat der Curator von Afterhour Sound unterschiedliche Stile passend in einander übergeblendet und somit einen treibenden Flow geschaffen! Klangextase describes not only an intense musical - electronic enjoyment, but as well a story. A story that started with friends who met a many years ago to produce electronic music and mixes together. The first joint sets were soon published online as a live stream, followed by sets of friends and acquaintances. The community grew over the years, as well did the number of different artists and their podcasts and tracks. Soon as well international artists enriched the Klangextase family. However - without the invention of the MP3 format in 1982, this story would not have been possible, this is the reason why this date belongs to Klangextase since the early beginning.

Til today, Klangextase represents the diversity of artists and their enthusiasm for electronic music. We are an international platform of enthusiasts for qualitative productions and sets, whose history we would like to tell.
