Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

Since he first came into contact with the labels "Kompakt" and "Pampa" about 15 years ago, the variation of abstract techno and house music has captivated him and has never let him go. 

In the beginning only as a music consumer, dancer & blogger, he developed a passion for dj'ing in 2009. He puts a lot of emphasis on a mixture of nebulous wafting ambient and dark surfaces, along with rich and clear bass drums, clicking hi-hats, as well as dignified rhythm and tempo changes including some goosebumps moments.

Sometimes deep, sometimes rave, but still dark driving.

He is also the curator of the incredible @afterhour-sounds , where he showcases some of the finest underground music available.

Bei diesem ungewöhnlich ausgedehnten KataHaifisch Podcast handelt es sich um ein Live-Recording von einer Mysticcreatures Tanzveranstaltung. Am 24.09.2022 wurden die beiden Musikschaffenden firgun & Heyoka zu einer Party der Berliner VA-Reihe eingeladen. Insgesamt 4 Stunden und 20 Minuten spielten sich die beiden in die Herzen und das Gedächtnis der Gäste. Bei einer solch umfassenden Reise durch die Sphären des Downtempo Genres ist musikalisch gesehen alles in diesem Set enthalten. Passagenweise wird es aufbrausend und energetisch, dann mal wieder nachdenklich und melancholisch. Zeitweise wandelt sich die Stimmung hin zu einer kindergleichen Leichtigkeit und wohlwollenden Unbeschwertheit.

In diesem Podcast wird alles Geboten und ist für jeden was dabei. Dankeschön <3

While Saskia‘s musical skills developed during early childhood piano lessons, Alex made first contact with electronic music with his “Minimal Lounge“ solo project. Releasing on labels such as Katermukke, Hanse Hertz, Plötzlich Music and Connaisseur Recordings it is their own imprint Underyourskin Records that has been causing a buzz lately and on which Just Emma releases their dark and melodic interpretation of electronic music. Langsam schiebe ich den Strohhut aus dem Gesicht und blinzele der lachenden Sonne entgegen. Am Baum sitzend sinniere ich über die einfachen Dinge. Der kurze Mittagsschlaf hat meine Sinne belebt. Das Plätschern des nahen Flusses erklingt kristallklar und die spärlichen Wolken verfolge ich aufmerksam. Hinter jeden der weißen Riesen entdecke ich eine andere Phantasie. Dort wird eine Katze von einem Piraten gestreichelt und da erbeutet ein Eichhörnchen ein Eis als Nachtisch. Ich verliere mich in den friedlichen Parallelwelten und lässt mich nochmal fallen. Mehr liegend als sitzend schließt ich die Augen und male mit meiner Vorstellungskraft farbenfrohe Kulissen für den Piraten, die Katze und das Eichhörnchen. Meine erfundenen Abenteuer zaubern mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. 

Entflieht mit Frida Darko für einen Moment der Realität und genießt einen Moment nur für euch. Atmet tief ein und entfaltet eure Kreativität. Mit ihrem treibenden Downtempo animiert und inspiriert sie. Mit jedem Track, den sie spielt, begleitet sie dich ein kleines Stück auf deinem Weg.
