Heute gibt es eine kleine Geschichtsstunde zur saarländischen Underground Vinylkultur der 90er & 00er Jahre. Das Urgestein DJ Laban (SundayStripFM) spielte in der goldenen Ära der elektronischen Musikszene eine wichtige Rolle. Auch die Kombo Mick & Toni Tress standen schon 1999 in Neunkirchen-City als angehende DJs und Labelgründer in dem Underground Schallplattenladen „GOA“ und deckten sich dort mit Drum & Bass- und Breakbeat Scheiben ein. In der Szene machten die ersten Raves im Jahr 2002 unter der Twin Town-Flagge die Runde. Noch heute bekomme ich eine Gänsehaut, wenn ich mich zurück erinnere an den Rave im stillgelegten Bergwerkstollen. Headliner: DJ Laban, Marek Buchholz, Ronny, Tricky Tom Cat, Mick & Marc u.v.m. Das alles geschah in dem „alten Direktionsgebäude der Saarbergwerke in Luisenthal“ (2002). Eine Nacht mit historischer Bedeutung.

DJ Laban kehrt nun zurück zu Twin Town mit einem atemberaubenden Deep-Dub-Vinyl-Set unter seinem Projekt – SundayStripFM. Seit seinem Abschied aus dem Plattenladen- & DJ Zirkus, der unvermeidlichen Schließung des GOA RECORD STORE in Neunkirchen und dem legendären HARD WAX in Saarbrücken, sind gut 20 Jahre vergangen. Der erfolgreiche DJ hatte mehrere internationale, nationale und regionale GIGS gespielt und Mixe auf renommierten Radiostationen, Blogs & Podcasts veröffentlicht. 
Ein kleiner Auszug aus der Diskografie spricht Bände: U60311 (Frankfurt), Nature One, R-Park (Göttelborn), Flash (St. Wendel), Kufa (Saarbrücken), Sound (Dillingen), Zone 13 / Tronix (Völklingen), Untn (Saarbrücken), Mo Club (Saarbrücken), Douala (Ravensburg), Tunel (Supetar Brac Island / Croatia).

Der Mix beginnt mit atmosphärischen Ambient Grooves, die Percussion und die hallenden Pads laden den Raum mit Spannung auf. Sparsam geht der Druck nach vorne, bevor das Set in einen warmen treibenden Rhythm & Sound übergeht. Eine perfekte Symbiose von FX und Dub-Techno.
Mit Einflüssen aus UK-Dub, Garage, Reggae-Dub und Techno kreiert SundayStripFM eine einzigartige, hochqualitative Atmosphäre in seinem Vinyl-Set. 
Danke für deine Leidenschaft und lange Schaffenskraft – du hast uns schon so früh inspiriert. Es ist Verbeugung vor dem Genre und es zeigt das SundayStripFM eine tiefe Wertschätzung für den klassischen Dub-Sound in all seinen Facetten innehat. Für uns ist es eine besondere Ehre ihn heute vorstellen zu dürfen.
