If you know about Playhouse then you’ll know Losoul. He’s been a big part of what they do since the mid-90s, housing his abstractly formed house on the Frankfurt based landmark house label which in itself is an icon of quality cuts. More recently however the German groove maker has been continuing his legacy on a label that’s a little closer to home for us: the Bristol homed and Room Three regulars Hypercolour, with a two track twelve entitled Slowly Turning.  

With such a legacy and a demonstrated capacity to turn out the jams on the floor, Hypercolour picked out Losoul to be their next guest for their next label night in Room Three on the 23rd of this month. Don’t be fooled by this mix’s organic sprung low slung introduction Losoul really picks up the pace as it progresses, a slow burner and then before you know it your hands will be jacking in time with the groove.

Losoul - fabric x Hypercolour Mix

Parisian powerhouse, CLEKCLEKBOOM have been a part of the city’s ever-evolving music scene for almost three years now. But whilst Paris has rather notoriously presented its preferred techno and electro forms, the pioneering collective - formed by Minstre X and The Boo - have established a more variable sound; drawing from all of dance music’s multifarious subdivisions to pump out its own unique mother lode of what they themselves describe simply as 'Paris Club Music'. Their unclassified fusion has sparked a new breed of Parisian underground music with the label housing work from artists like Aleqs Notal, NSDOS and most notably, French Fries, whilst also releasing a catch all compendium of the scene’s surrounding talent in Paris Club Music Vol 1.

Now, as the crew are reportedly hard at work on the second volume of the compilation, we got to know one of the team on a more personal level, linking up with Jean Nipon before the crew venture across the channel to take over Room Two once again next month....
