Class 1998, always passionate about music, i start studying saxophone at the age of 12 and then moved to the piano in 2016.
Lover of classical, minimalist and pop music, I try to incorporate the peculiar characteristics of those genres into my compositions to create meditative and engaging sounds.
I’m currently studying Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Lecce and classical piano at a private institution.

Edoardo Gastaldi, born in 1998, is an award-nominated film-music composer based in Venice, Italy. 
His style combines slow piano lines with deep ambient atmospheres. In his creations, the frontier of repetitive post-classical minimalism meets deep compositional ambient layers, leading his arrangements to become a philosophical thread of condensed melancholy and sparse hope.
After several years of music studies, which provided him with formal training ranging from classical piano to music theory, in the summer of 2021, Edoardo started publishing his compositions and productions.
The influence of 17th-19th century pianists and the fascination for experimental edges make his music an ever-evolving equilibrium among Modern Classical, Ambient, and Post-Rock subgenres.

Gastaldi's philosophical approach is inspired by the sounds of foundational artists including Johan Söderqvist, Hammock, Tony Anderson, Leonard Petersen, Atli Örvarsson, Stephen Porter, Ronit Kirchman, Sigur Rós, John Cage and Nils Frahm.

Edoardo’s work deeply reflects his desire to explore human fragility, paradoxes, and the complexities of existence. Over time, his soundtracks were described as capable of delving into the big consequences and underlying roots we can’t avoid.

In 2024 Gastaldi scored the soundtrack for the multi-award-winning short film “Etilismo”, a story that delves into the sensitive issue of chronic alcoholism in youth.

Music has always been my breath — the purest extension of who I am. Every note I write comes from the deepest parts of me, woven with love, joy, loss, and the rawness of grief. For years, I hid behind my emotions, masking them in my music, but I’ve finally found the courage to be unapologetically honest — to let it all flow, unfiltered and real.

Since I was 11, I’ve dreamed of composing, conducting, and performing with an orchestra. For a while, I stepped aside, pouring my energy into helping other artists grow, building my skills, and supporting their visions. But now? It’s my turn to step into my own truth, fully and fearlessly.

Every single day, I feel grateful to live this passion — it’s my fire, my purpose, and my love. And now, I can’t wait to share it with you and hear how it makes  ‘you’ feel. This is just the beginning.
