"Leading up to my album Roots, the time is right to drop the next chapter in my return to the underground.  "My Roots" is very representative of the original vibe when I started out in house music, but done in a very current & modern mentality.

The sounds that I started out with are back in a big way in the underground, and I just felt very inspired to create something that has that party vibe.  I went back to my grimy, dirty jackin' house sounds with this one, and it's very representative of my DJ'ing technique with builds, big bass line drops and huge soaring vocals.  It's been fantastic to see how well it's been received on my dance floor!"

Boy Next Door returns to Light my Fire after excursions on Katermukke and a recent remix for Ryan Dupree. Here, on ‘Dirty Love’, he refines his signature style of jacking drums, nostalgic rave sounds and punishing grooves even further. While the first track, ‘Coming Down’ is build around a dominant bass-line and vocal samples, it’s the piano that drops in around the half-way mark that really steals the show. It may or may not reference a classic 90s house tune. In ‘Dirty Love’ sharp hi-hats and an ominous rave bass-line are the bedding for elastic synth sounds. The final track, ‘Get Up’, is a downbeat master class in disco-funk: a chugging groove and electric guitars make for a great finish.

Opening with the Vangelis inspired Present Voyage then weaving a path through gritty throbbing bass, exemplified by Arrival and on to minimized funk of Disco Diva and Need House, Sonic Intervention progresses naturally on through the swirling tension of Get Up and crescendos with the combination of floor-burner NZT and the old-school Electro stomping Electric Pandemic; featuring the vocals of Detroit Grand Pubas Paris Du Black Fu. When quizzed on his motivations behind his latest studio album, The Advent stated I wanted to do something quite personal for this first album and delve a little bit into the past to get inspiration from my influences to make an album that reflected all the musical genres I have been inspired by over the years electro, electronica, tech house - not just the techno tracks. Future music from a past master, made for the here and now.

Guy J & Sahar Z - 7.11 (Bedrock)

Staring back to 2011, Adam Beyer and Alan Fitzpatrick’s ‘Human Reason’ track was a huge Drumcode release and with Len Faki’s new stamp on it, he is showing the unique talent that Drumcode have within their ranks. Len Faki’s Remix incorporates the original lead sound into different rhythms and puts it against different sound textures to create a sure-fire techno track. ‘Memesis’ is a new original track from Adam Beyer and Alan Fitzpatrick that uses a deep bass line to create a solemnly dark atmosphere. It also uses synth stabs help to enforce this trippy, hypnotising ambiance that moulds the track together.

Stereo Cool is back with another potent release by Honey Dijon and Sebastian Manuel called The Mixology. Having already worked together on several other projects, they are back once again with another incredible collaboration  With inspiration from the classic track "In The Mix" by Mix Masters, they have propelled that sound into 2013 and created a brilliant release!
Very clean and to the point, this track wastes no time. Crisp claps, tight percs and a chugging bassline move this track beautifully.

This EP includes 5 massive remixes. X-Press 2, the English house masters deliver hard with a beautiful remix that has good energy and uplifting synths and just the right amount of rumble to keep you glued to the dance floor  They also stripped off the perfect number of elements and give us a powerful and confident Dub mix as well.
Next we have Rafa Barrios bringing in a drum filled, tribal odessey. Strong and steady, this heavy weight track delivers!
Zenbi brings a perc filled, energetic party track with a crisp overall structure that locks you in from the first kick drum!
Davide Vario tops off the package with a clubby remix that describes the true essence of house music. Fun and groovy with energy for miles!  

Also included in this release as an added bonus, are two great tracks by Honey Dijon and Sebastian Manuel, Dream Drums and Percomaniac. Previously released on Stereo Productions, these are two must have tracks for your collection. So if you missed them before, you've got them now!

The Mixologist (Zenbi Remix)

After the success of the Slam + Gary Beck (Alliances 1) release, Slam welcome friends and peers Pan-Pot to the next phase of their 'Alliances' series. Slam & Pan-Pot have shared the stage at many an occasion whether it be at Slam's Pressure or Return To Mono nights at The Arches & Sub Club respectively, or at the Mobilee Rooftop or Poolside parties, Off-Sonar. Pan-Pot have also remixed Slam's 'Room 2' & 'Lifetimes' tracks while Slam have reworked Pan-Pot's 'Face To Face' & 'Confronted' tracks. Their sounds are well matched, as are their personalities. 'Media' brings the drive, swing and melody that both pairs of producers do so well. Twisting and turning through delayed FX and doubling drums, 'Media' swells until it hits an epic bass sequence at the tracks half-way mark before dropping back to a stripped groove. When the two acts combine they are most certainly a formidable force. 'Media' is the perfect example of this.

Slam + Pan-Pot - Media (Alliances 2)

Kombination Research presents the portuguese producer A.Paul.&#8216;Other Worlds&#8217; is an epic techno journey, styled mix of a classic bassline and hammering bass drums. The releases closes with a massive remix by the label boss The Advent and his partner in crime Industrialyzer, with slamming bass and stepping rhythm throughout.

Stereo Cool releases another great EP! This time Louis Corrales is the headliner.
This talented artist coming straight from Brooklyn, Nyc has been at it since his first gig back in 1999 and has not stopped since. He's played with several of the greatest artists in the underground music scene and has had great success!
Now he is back with an original production called Nala's Groove. He provides us with two steller versions and topping off the package are some marvellous remixes by Rafa Barrios, Elias R and Saimont.

The first is Louie's "Touch the Sky Keys Mix" with a great groove and driving force accompanied by a catchy and harmonic voice. Then he prepares and sets up the finale with beautiful synths and a huge buildup that create the perfect pacakge!

The second mix is a more drummy and tribal influnced mix and is called Louie's Just Drums Mix.
The same great vocals and groove, but a more serious and penetrating version! Big room sound with spectral cowbells and a fantastic undertone and propulsive bassline!

Rafa Barrios brings a heavier, tribally and groovy swing to this EP.  Big drums and penetrating claps coupled with a non stop rolling beat make this a strong remix. Well put together with a nice chunky gallop!

Elias R delivers a solid remix. Very clean and minimal with the perfect amount of bouncy bass and  punchy kicks to lock you in.  Deeper and more on the house vibe, its a perfect track to build up the energy of any party.

Saimont delivers an interesting remix with clean-cut percs and flowing undertone that propel you into a warm and spacey matrix!

On the heels of our "American Hustle" EP - we are back with our boys Jaceo & Vedic - this time on Bitten Records with our "313 (Detroit Calling)" EP.  Named after the city's area code - lyrically the track is an homage to the city's resilience in the face of constant hardships - to give birth to a musical genre and movement that has touched the lives of millions around the world. 

The flip side - "212" is not actually named after New York City's dialing code as one might suspect - but is rather the temperature (in fahrenheit) that water turns from a liquid into a gas (pretty fucking hot).  The words - courtesy of the one and only Ray Winstone - from the incredible film "Sexy Beast" - underscore that hot feeling we've all experienced in our favorite neighborhood 'sweat on the walls' nightclub. Ok so maybe it wasn't 212 fahrenheit in the club - but you get the point!

Pleasurekraft, Jaceo, Vedic - 313 (Detroit Calling)

The label bosses The Advent and Industrialyzer team up with Hugo Paixao and they are releasing an excellent EP on Codeworks. Kicking off this EP is the title track ‘Mutant’ which creates a big chunky affair full of dark beats with smooth percussion on the foreground. A very nice and intense production with smooth string getting along. ‘Twisted’ follows, featuring stabbing and rolling deep basslines mixed up with nice and melodic riffs. Can be better than that? Three excellent producers getting along and they produce two techno anthems for Codeworks. Enjoy
