Kharfi - The Moroccan Disapora

Mohammed ibn-Khalifa al-Madani was born in qûsaybat al-madiyûni in 1888, from a family prestigious for its piety. His father Khalifa was an itinerant trader, he differed from others by his relative ease; he had a cart on which he could transport his oil to Tunis, where he could sell it, make substantial profits and return to the village. As he was pious, he soon counted among the followers of Sheikh as-Sadiq as-Sahrawi, great Mûqaddam of the Madaniyya-Chadhûliya brotherhood in Tunis whose spiritual Master was Sheikh Mohammed Zafir al-Madani.
