David Emerick is an alternative musician, principal songwriter for the band Champ de Mars, and producer currently living in Washington D.C.  

Prior to moving to Washington, Emerick was in a variety of bands in Northern California, most notably Bellstar, which performed from 1999-2005 and released two self-produced CDs.  Bellstar shared stages with a number of major label acts, including Alien Ant Farm, and the Damnations.  They received airplay on various college radio stations across the Western U.S. and their music was included in three independent films.

Prior to Bellstar, Emerick fronted ‘The Said’ which also released two self-produced CDs and performed regularly around Northern California.
